Thammanat denies saying he's ready to be next PM - Chuwit makes supportive comments

I would have to cough up top dollars for political cabaret and good soap operas in my native birth country.

Here the hits keep on flying in on a daily, twice daily and sometimes hourly basis - I just love the idiocy of all those crétins.

Make him prime minister; other flour traders before him (though not convicted with free accommodation in Australia) tried before him ..... and failed. Under the given circumstances of how the leadership is raping this country, I am not too sure if the Captain would fail.

Never a dull moment, we will see anytime soon; possibly sooner than some sitting politicians would fear!

Thaksin Shinawatra was only a captain!

Thaksin was in fact a Lt. Colonel... mute point as his rank was revoked 6 years ago..

Thailand is teetering on the brink of becoming a failed state. The extend to which the economy is decimated right now, is something we may not know for years to come, as it is being hidden, as well as they possibly can hide it. All we need is a desperado felon, helming the country. Thailand is not already enough of a laughing stock, throughout the world? Just try this one. Just try it.

As it stands now, 100 years from now, they may be teaching about Prayuth and Phiphat, as the men who presided over the once great industry of tourism, the once great nation of Thailand, and the men who helped destroy the economy and industry millions depended upon. And the men who helped precipitate the demise and decline of Thailand, from the tiger of SE Asia (and at one time the 21st largest economy in the world) to a whiny, sickly, skinny, disease infested alley cat, on it's last legs. And on par with Burundi, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Yemen, and Sierra Leone.

Imagine someone like this drug lord taking over? It boggles the mind. How low can they possibly sink? We are witnessing such moral depravity.

Tourism is suffering from a world wide pandemic . That is what the teachings will be in 100 years from now.

His quick rise has nothing to do with this government.

Someone else is pulling the strings.

That would be an absolute belter for Thailand, a convicted drug dealer as Prime Minister !

Comedy Gold ! ????

Does it really matter?

As they all come from the same club - be they democratically elected, place by coup, or any other corrupted means.

The theatre truly does remain the same....yet, the bit players change their roles ever so slightly.

Tradition.

And still - the larger picture is missed.

Just when you thought they couldn't be any more ...... (fill in the blanks, if you like).

All members of the Military Junta that took over Thailand and  got rich in the process should be stripped down and handed to the people for Judgement before they flee Thailand for an extradition free country with their ill gotten gains.

One fact alone that such a news are circulating suggests change is coming irrespective of what Prayut thinks or wants

Yep, the globalists are infiltrating any country and Thamannat seems a perfect candidate for Thailand.????

OOh but he was not part of a coup was he. Remember he was democratically elected (I know not by the HiSo hand clapping yellow shirts). Very silly to compare!

While he's not green enough, nor yellow enough, honestly, having him as pm seems strangely logical for thailand.

Kind of a toss-up between him and Big Joke.

Lose/lose.

If only Chuwit could be eligible..... just imagine the benefits

TV should not be dignifying this criminal as "Captain". Captain of what? Good Ship Lollipop? The reason he never made general was that he was in jail for a few of the qualifying years. Chuwit knows his gangsters!

Nearly as funny as having a  Prime Minister who seized power by imprisoning leaders of opposing parties, making his own constitutional changes to ensure that he had a hefty (150) start in the last "Democratic" election, and openly denies there will be another election in the foreseeable future, while "off stage" has been heard to say "I'm going to be here for a while yet!"

Relevance? None.

But I think the thamanat argument is that he is not a felon in the eyes of thailand.

Doesn't matter that is accepted in LOS, it's what the rest of the world thinks.

Can you see Aus. opening its arms to a criminal convicted of drug smuggling in Aust., and I'm sure a word in the ear of US, UK, and other major countries would result in a similar response.

Not a Captain (as in a Naval Captain Binghamton McHales Navy) as that is a senior nearly 'star' Rank equivalent of AirForce GPCAPT (Lionel Mandrake) and Army 'bird' Colonel (Hogan)...

 - This fella left the Army after busted back to Lootenant, from an already lowly Army Captain (Parmenter) rank

That's okay Khun Prayut. Is that your TV name?

Sad innit. Got to be an agenda in there somewhere. What else could it be, the entire country is miserable? That or trolling.

Could Thamannat be the one to bring Thaksin back? Thaksin then pledges his allegiance to number 1 (and with that comes much of the nations allegiance) and everyone’s happy.

Now that would be fun. He’s bent but at least the place was happy and prosperous.

He said that Capt Thammanat was a quick political learner, mixes well with the elite and was an enterprising character.

This, he said, was ideal for someone to be a politician or a gangster.

No wonder Thailand is in such a mess, most are both of the above.

Just what Thailand needs, another officer and this time a convicted drug trafficker on top. While it doesn't seem to count in Thailand, as he wasn't convicted by a Thai court, he's hardly a suitable representative for his country when it comes to dealing with foreign leaders.

Makes it sound like there would be no due process (like elections) and simply a matter of the outgoing guy polishing the seat of the chair for him!

Maybe there might be a new man to take over the watch, or a man with watches.
