I’m an avid YouTube watcher, I get most of my bread recipes there. For Covid stuff I prefer facts over freedomtube

So you judge videos by the platform they are on rather than their actual content?  Does that seem reasonable to you?

Platform/publisher/uploader can be a very effective initial filter.

Certainly for covid info I am going read/watch something from CDC.com before I open something from randomwebsite.com as an example...

Absolutely. Why would I waste time on sites that spread lies and misinformation. But if you want to, that’s fine. I can’t envisage a world where YOU will believe what’s in plain sight.

Multiple misleading troll posts linking to pseudoscience conspiracy / questionable sources have been removed, also replies.

What amazes and amuses me most is that given the average age, weight and health of forum members, they are the people who have the most to lose from being vaccinated. Having said that, one person refusing a vaccine is one more available for someone with the sense to take it. No sympathy whatsoever for deniers.

And with that.... I’m done.

Like it or not, there will be many locations in many countries, including  Thailand, which will require proof of vaccination and/or an up to date test record before allowing entry.

Hopefully there's a workaround they can keep my allocation for someone who wants it. I read the 2 deaths in Phuket today were both vaccinated / 1 with 1 jab /the other with 2. Visa's may well be an issue altho it is Thailand.

Instead of complaining about everything Thai, why not move back to your countries of origin where everything is so much better?

Would that mean that CDC info is credible to you?

It would mean, as I said, that it would be a more credible starting point rather than randomwebsite.com.

Yes, but only until a sufficiently large part of the population have been vaccinated. The sooner that happens, the sooner things can get back to normal.

the visa problem you were referring to will be back to normal in maybe 2 years im guessing, if you're still alive by then that's great, if not you don't have to worry about the visa anymore, on other note vaccine is not a cure and yes you can still catch covid but i won't be on an ventilator but i can definitely give it to you.

Like others, I suspect this to be a trolling post.  I have my doubts the OP is even from the US.

I'm a retired American under the age of 50 and wondering if it would be possible to live long term in Thailand without the vaccine?

Under 50 years of age you should be more concerned about visa, but an Elite Card might solve that. So far there is no mandatory vaccination demand, if you stay away from places where it's asked for, but sometimes, if not often, a negative Covid-test can work as well as documentation for vaccination. However, nobody know what the future might bring.

The situation is more than ridiculous. The vaccinated people think they are invulnerable to Covid and not least so do think the governments and e.g. the air travel co's. Being not vaccinated is not a threat to others, but the sheeple and lemmings are made to believe that that is true.

Biden wants to make vaccination mandatory for all federal staff and guess what, congress members and their staff are excluded.

Can't people see what's going on here and what is the 'plan'?

Nor do they wear masks while they hold large events.  Weird

Not buying that.

It is amazing how a public health issue has been turned into a political one….it’s b/c the right wing media and those who support and want to believe it (meaning swallowing the bait) can now be heard on social media spouting misinformation…

when 98% of covid patients fall into the unvaccinated camp, that is all you need to know….the vaccine is not about protection but it’s about the immense probability of reducing illnesses associated with covid….

it’s all about being a public health issue and a really shame that conservatives have turn it into a political one  b/c somehow they feel they need to be on the opposite side   of their rivals on this particular issue…it makes no logical or scientific sense….

this is a classic example of Darwinism (the mentally feeble and physical weak shall die off) sad to say trying to shape it and hold onto an illogical and delusional principle over emerging scientific data….

it as close to a no brainer as one can come on an issue…okay, maybe not jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge would be higher if one wants to see another day of life….

Yep - the odds are way against recovery at that stage.....

I hear lead taste good. the way they are adding it on as a must little by little each day your better off getting a vaccine. So make it a good western one and don't mix it.

And here you are asking if you're gonna be left alone without taking vaccine? Personal opinion. Not a chance in hell.

Yes and even if it doesn't become a requirement for visas etc. - just try walking around in your locality if it gets out 'the foreigner' refused the vaccine.

That said,  life's going to get more difficult (much more far reaching than simply restaurants) for those refuse the vaccine no matter where you live so excercise your rights by all means but don't moan when you suffer the consequences.

'The Plan'..................................................yawn!!!  Are there any 5g transmitters near you?  Complete load of tosh!

On what basis do you claim, 'the vaccinated people think they are invulnerable to Covid'?  I'm double vaccinated and have no notion that I'm fully protected.  I listen to the reports and can read the stats - I'm fully aware that I am not totally protected - that has been fully publicised.  However, I know from real world figures in my home country (UK) rather than your conspiracy based rubbish that being fully vaccinated, if I do get infected, I am far less likely to get seriously ill or die.

Anything that helps the virus spread is a threat to others and that includes vaccine refusers.  Try telling your tale to the doctors and nurses that have to treat Covid patients.  The less patients they see, the less at risk they are.

Then surely you have read, somewhere on your not so favorite sites, that mant hospital staff refuse the jab.

The plan, yes yawn as much as you want, but you are a denier. Did you ever read anything like Agenda 2030, The Great Reset, Spars pandemic, Georgia Guidestones, World Economic Forum/Klaus Schwab, the NWO. If you take all that for granted, up to you.

And concerning your country, is that worth something? Nice police state together with Australia, giving us an inside view of the new nazi/commie world to come.

Congratulations on you, you at least show that you are brainwashed, not necessarily from 5G though.

Not that I recall.

Polio was not a jab.

Surely you had your shots before you entered Thailand…you know..yellow fever, malaria, Hep A and B, Japanese Encephalitis, typhoid, cholera…etc. and the booster shots necessary to keep them up to date!

Be crazy not to have those…wouldn’t you??!

I completely and whole heartedly agree!! You guys that don’t seem to like Thailand and the way things are here and if you can’t learn to live here (you don’t even have to go back to the country you came from…. I’m assuming you didn’t like it there either)….there’s so many countries to visit out there…surely you can find one that suits you better!

I assure you…you are not going to change one single thing in Thailand…not even one thing so why not try to learn how to live here and be happy!

And there was me thinking you would be a man of principles and stand up for your rights, shows how wrong one can be.

And there was me thinking that standing on your principles doesn't keep you in a job, nor does it feed your family, pay your mortgage or pay your bills. Especially at this time when companies are laying off or putting staff on a furlough.

Now if you were able and willing to support him and his family financially until he could get a similar or better job, then principles are fine. However if the new job would require that he be vaccinated then he is screwed yet again.

So, if you weren't married, have 3 kids & a secure employment you would stick 2 fingers up to the vaccine ? Will your wife be getting the vaccine or have you brainwashed her as well ? Don't know how old your kids are but will they be getting vaccinated when the time comes ?

Talk about double standards.

Not really. Common sense 101. Think about real life rather than "principles" as he has done.

I don't take any of that for granted - I take it as a load of rubbish and any rational person, fortunately the vast majority of us that I have no doubt you think are mis-informed, would also think the same.
