Police called to restore order as chaos ensues at vaccine rollout in Trang

A scene at a vaccination area in Trang in southern Thailand was chaotic after the authorities in the southern province announced vaccinations for people in 11 sub-districts of Kantang district.

More than 1,000 people started queuing from 4 am.

Later in the day the place was heaving with people trying to jump the queuing system which was non-existent.

Some of the still shots shown by Ban Muang looked more like a melee as people hoped to get their first shot of Sinovac vaccine.

Many thought it was too dangerous and headed home.

The police had to be called to maintain order and set up some semblance of social distancing.

One area of the district has seen widespread quarantining after a cluster of 100 infections was isolated. It centers on the village of Koh Khiam.

they all keep the 1,5 m distance as they use to arrest demonstrators in Bangkok who they think don't do it... Here the picture is better.. gathering more than 25 people, no distance......

How do you jump something that is nonexistent?

If this is what happens when you target 1 million jabs in a day then forget it and do it properly.

was this a vaxx rollout or a super spreader event?

Ah the old, cliché of it's me, me and me 1st, welcome to the LOS

Care for the people?, I dont think so!,

Stupid barstewards were hell bent on a big show pr event nationwide on Friday with the million jabs in one day nonsense and cancelling peoples appointments moving them to Friday for the charade.

Meanwhile 1 million Pfizer doses cant be delivered because of paperwork complications such as permission from China and no back handers for uncle Tu.

It was a ' one stop shop ' event. You cue to get infected and the vaccine on the same day. Much time saved. Pretty darn clever.

Wife had her vaccine yesterday and although it wasn't quiet this bad , the same method was used. Call all the Dtambons around to be jabbed at the same time on the same day in the same place.

A crowd of villagers that size can only mean one thing. Lottery time. Yup, the Covid Lottery. Some will be lucky, some not. You can claim your prize at the local hospital.

You ain't seen nothing yet until you've seen a pack of Chinese rushing to a seafood buffet!  Google that one!  It makes this scene look tame!

Thai planning at it's best... just the usual free-for-all.

You just reminded me of a time I spent with the wife and kids at The Novotel Vintage Park in Phuket years ago, although it wasn't Chinese rushing for the seafood buffet, it was the breakfast buffet, my first and last experience with those fkrs, still in PJ's, touching food with hands and then putting it back, pushing in, even taking food of my plate, that was my last stance, I turned and said; oi, listen here you beady eyed c..., that is mine and took it straight back off of her plate, she looked at me jaw wide open, head slightly raised with beer glasses on, I tell you what, is she were a bloke, game over.

Last time I will ever stay at that place, bus loads of them, supposed to have been a 4 star hotel, I would rate it as a 2 just based on the staff allowing this s**t fight to happen every morning, but I get where your coming from.

Land of Sinovac.lol

Oh come on, that must be the camera angle that just makes it look like it’s crowded. There were only 18 people really there ????

Wasn't me. But people are getting desperate for anything now,  especially if it leads to a 2nd jab of something decent.

What a waste of time queing for Sinocrap which starts fading upon the needle touches your flesh. Dummies should rather have gone for a double shot of Lao Kao

what we are seeing in those photos is an amazing medical experiment on humans.

if there is a pandemic and a highly contagous virus, than this crowd should result in

mass infections.

if there won't be so many infections, than it simply means that there is no pandemic, just

open the whole country and forget about this corona nonsense.

Man. I had quite the opposite experience at a little hotel down a soi near Phrom Phong in BKK. Like a 2 star, only 500 baht a night, with breakfast. The buffet was simple, cereals, fruits, breads, muffins. The guests were all quiet and orderly, Western tourists and Asian businesspeople. Then I'd conveniently walk around to the malls and bars. I'd love doing that again.

Who on earth was responsible for this complete shambles ? Oh silly me it was all just a misunderstanding said no one YET. Showed the photos to wifey and yet once again in her perfect Tinglish said    " they mucking fental " ???? :cheesy:

Ha ha, I used to stay at a place called Patong Pearl Resortel every time we came to Thailand, was probably a 2-3 star, small with a pool and a street back from Bangla, then this American purchased it and upped his prices which was not worth it, then I saw The Novotel Vintage Park had a 55% discount which was on par to the Patong Pearl Resortel's increased prices, so it was worth every baht to there regardless of the Chinese invasion at breakfast, because after that they were gone.

The above said, Phuket I now consider to be for newbies, as I now like Hua Hin.
