Popular Post bbabythai
Im middle aged living in LOS. Ive been doing sit ups (and sometimes push ups) since the age of 20 every morning and night. I do fast walks/ mini run with my dog 2 times a day. But actually I had an issue with my foot for several months and couldn't run as much. Have noticed my gut is quite large now since the foot injury. Fast walking just doesnt cut it or maybe its too short a distance what Im doing. I celebrated a birthday the other day and had pizza and choco cake and more cake today. It seems anytime I eat bad food my gut gets so huge. It really sucks as I used to be able to eat whatever I wanted and no issues. Generally speaking I have a health diet and rarely drink booze these days A few months ago I had full blood checks including thyroid. All normal. Ive always been a slim/ skinny guy. I think my metabolism is just slowing down. I also have some E.D issues but my testosterone levels are normal. The other day I had a big fry up English breakfast and soon after my wife wanted some action. I couldn't get a proper erection. Its horrible to be in mid life with a growing gut. I even now drink skim milk which tastes like <deleted> and my 3 cups of British tea isnt as good anymore. In summary, Im getting fat, my sex life is no good anymore and my morning tea tastes like <deleted>. My wife finds all this funny. Any suggestions? thanks 1 1 2
Dmaxdan
Get yourself a corset. And after a while you'll get used to having skimmed milk in tea, I did.
Popular Post Gaccha
Yep. After a high blood pressure result, I went all in over 2 years ago and I'm down to 20.5 BMI. You need commitment. And forget the idea about your metabolism slowing down: that's not science, it's not a thing. Metabolism only really slows down over 60 years old and not even by much. I run (not jog) 8km every 2 days. Build yourself up to this. Start with babysteps: 1 slow jog of 5km per week. Lots of running Apps to help you build up. I find this so easy now that the next day I feel nothing. I don't eat for 18 hours. Eat within a 6 hour time period only. If you have a pretty sedentary life, you only need one meal a day. So stop eating at 6pm and next eat at 12pm. But splash out on it. So long as the body enters "famine mode" for 3 or so hours a day (it kicks in around 15 hours of not eating), then you're cutting away that fat. You'll feel high when you enter famine mode. It just feels great. During the 18 hour period, only water, tea (no milk/sugar), coffee (no milk/sugar). Or herb teas. No sugar. This is your true enemy. Substitutes work with a lot of people (e.g. Stevia). You can buy no-sugar chocolate, no-sugar sweets, no-sugar ice cream etc. But even these you should probably not take during the 18 hour famine period (the science is out on this). No alcohol. Except say once a week. You'll need to control hunger pangs. Drink Japanese Green Tea. That will kill your hunger. Fill your stomach with water. Drink hot ginger. Every morning, do a bit of weightlifting in your bedroom and around 100 press-ups and sit-ups. You'll start to lose body fat rapidly. You'll find getting below 17.5% body fat is extremely challenging but the first few kgs will be surprisingly easy. Buy a body fat/BMI/muscle weight measurement machine. They're dirt cheap. You will feel massively more energetic and sleep better. And girls will be hitting on you, and your wife will be angry and try to get you fat again. Popular Post BangkokReady
Take a look at intermittent fasting and weight training. Maybe kettle bells given the restrictions around gyms at the moment.
Popular Post CharlieH
Get a bike or swim to exercise and take the weight off that foot and a good all round exercise. You havnt given your age ? But you may want to consider certain vitamin supplements that will enhance many aspects you have mentioned.

Join a gym Eat healthier Exercise Drink coffee not tea Also, many guys I know here experiment with fresh young sexy girls its amazing how their erection issues go away. 6
Popular Post impulse
After my bypass, they put me on a hospital grade treadmill and measured the calories I burned. Takes about an hour at a very brisk walk to burn up the calories in one small order of french fries. Probably all afternoon of walking to burn up the cheeseburger that came with the fries. You can exercise as much as you want, but it won't help lose much weight if you don't get your eating habits in order. Just to be clear, exercise makes me feel much better, but not much lighter... Popular Post dj230
what were your testosterone levels at? i spent the last 10 years reading on body composition, hormones, nutrition and exercise, i was always obsessed with body composition/body image. "normal" testosterone levels doesn't mean optimal, usually the blood test used is to detect serious issues with testosterone levels so low testosterone levels will still be normal usually thyroid isn't the issue, although testosterone replacement therapy is very complicated in itself, as it's hard to replicate the natural release of testoterone with injections growth hormone is another hormone that declines as you age, but it costs an arm and a leg to be able to pay for 19 minutes ago, impulse said: After my bypass, they put me on a hospital grade treadmill and measured the calories I burned. Just to be clear, exercise makes me feel much better, but not much lighter... although it is true that eating less calories than you burn in a day how weight loss is achieved, hormones play a huge role in the "calories burned" portion, as well as where the calories are burned (whether from muscle or fat) its quite complicated and isn't fully understood how to optimally adjust hormones for body composition, no scientific studies are really funded for this as it's more cosmetic than a necessity to "have a flat stomach or abs" or low bodyfat but there are scientific studies that clearly show low testosterone levels results in muscle loss + fat gain, same with low growth hormone (fat gain), low estrogen (fat gain) and low thyroid hormone (weight gain) Edited October 15, 2021 by dj230

If you really want to be slim then do whatever is necessary. But, IMHO, think why you want to be slim? So that the girls can call you sexy man? Personally I weight too much and I don't exercise enough and I am happy the way I am. I am no young man anymore and even if I would be fit and slim then I still wouldn't be the dream of 20 year old girls... 9

After a while we replace muscle with fat, And muscle, also burned more calories than fat. I also had similar issues as the Op, I implemented an Intermittent Fasting routine with great success I am 5" 9" and now I am 167 lb and have a relatively flat stomach. No food after 6 PM. and not before 12 pm, but you can cheat once in a while. I just had banana bread for breakfast LOL Edited October 16, 2021 by sirineou
Pravda
I'm 48 and I have been slim all my life until I developed acid reflux. Now every time I eat some sht my abdomen and right side of stomach grows by considerable amount. Been to a good hospital and doc says it's just gas. Btw I also used to run every day but since corona I was unable to and this caused more issues to pop up.
mokwit
The condition is known medically as "have my wife Thai belly" I have just lost 30 lbs after gaining it after having previously lost it. Popular Post Gsxrnz
Ditch all carbs except those that come in a bottle of Johnnie Walker. Drink your JW neat or with carb free organic ice. A shot of JW in your tea is a wonderful and healthy replacement for milk and sugar. Eat only those things that once had eyes and/or legs. The only exception being onions and mushrooms. Ok, seriously - avoid carbohydrates as much as possible and follow a keto based diet. The first three or four days are difficult but once you're over that initial hump it's a breeze. My diet consists of fresh meat of any kind (including as much fat as you want but NO processed meats), eggs, fresh fish, mushrooms, onions, cheese, coffee and yep, Johnnie Walker. I break the rules and add sauces for flavor but not too much. Once a week I'll go super radical and have spuds. The weight falls off. The bloated belly disappears. Bowel motions are less frequent and you'll save on toilet tissue. Mental clarity improves - the downside is you realise what a bunch of muppets are in charge of the world. You'll sleep better and wake up feeling fresher. Once you've lost the initial weight and bloated belly you can spoil yourself somewhat, but weigh yourself every morning and if your weight is even 0.1kg over your target weight, don't eat for 24 hours. I'm 61, 5'10" and 74kg. As a 15-40 year old I was a solid 105kg and I ain't never going back there.
Popular Post Will B Good
Read recently it is fallacy that your metabolism slows down in your mid-30's, they say it slows down in your mid-60's. I exercise a lot for general health reasons, but getting rid of your gut is 95% diet, and only 5% exercise. 3

Farmerslife
I've got a vacancy to fill on our farm anytime you want it. When I finally got out here after retiring I weighed 79.8kgs now after a couple of years hard labour a mere 62.4kgs. It certainly worked for me, I feel a lot better for it but for all I know it could be killing me ???? feels like it sometimes.
