Just met Thai ex wife for lunch

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

My Thai ex wife has a habit of texting me and asking me how I am once in a while. Today she asked me if I'm still in Bangkok. When I said yes she was surprised and asked me on what visa. I didn't feel like lying so I said married visa.

"When you get marry". "How long you know each other". "Does she have job". "Where she work". Fed up of typing on the phone I ask her to meet me for lunch.

Now, my ex wife is from the village. She dresses really loso, but she is full of cash thanks to her parents unlimited property in the anals is Surat Thani. During conversation I  mentioned that my Chinese wife is nothing like her. Although she has a very nice job she struggles with money and occasionally helps her parents. As soon as I mentioned my wife is Chinese, a feeling of genuine disgust was all over her face. In all the years living with her I have never seen anything like this. It's like I married a leper. After that shocker she becomes concerned....almost as my well being is in danger. She kept asking if I'm surviving in Thailand ok and if I still have my savings. Then she said she has to go back to work and runs towards cash to pay the bill (another first). Then we split

I thought Thais loved Chinese and look up to them?

Imagine your ex just dumped you. And then you find out she did it because of a Chinese guy. I guess that would hurt. ????

She still loves you.

Expect more texting in days, weeks to come IMO.

Right on there CharlieH as I still am unable to find out why my ex live in girlfriend of six years used to go through many days if not weeks of silence and wouldn't talk to me, even when I pleaded with her.

Eventually I told her to leave, and I did give her a lump sum of money and help to start a little business and get her feet on the ground, as well as monthly payments to help keep her daughter in a good school and later at University.

Strange though it may seem, there was no bitterness and we have kept in touch for over 10 years now, and she frequently sends me messages on Messenger, even though she is now in France and married.

Just before she went to France, and on one of the times we would catch up for lunch, along with her/our daughter, I asked her in a friendly manner what caused the silences, and she wouldn't tell me, other than to say something along the lines of, "that's just how I was and if you didn't understand it, then it's your problem"?

So I never did find out why the silences, but perhaps that's answered in your comment, "never known anyone yet that can fathom what goes on in a woman's head", especially if they are a Thai woman!

Long time ago in a country far away I tried to analyze and understand the thinking of my girlfriend at that time. I tried hard and for days but I just didn't understand it. Finally I asked her: what is the logic behind your behavior?

She looked a me, a little confused, and told me: Why do you think there is any logic?

In the hindsight I thank her for that moment. It helped me a lot in Thailand - and not only with the girls.

  • Popular Post

there is no thinking to be analyzed, and the reasons for the silence is only in her head since she expects you to read her thoughts and frustrations as a form of "validation" she is right ????

it's pointless to ask why or understand what caused it, you were wrong and that's all that matters ????

My former gf always behaved oddly, I discovered she was just doing what the voices in her head were telling her.

Great in bed though.

Thais look up to Chinese.. That was a good one thx for the chuckles.

This is not my opinion I heard it from wealthy Thais, that the average thai looks down on the Chinese because they're simply jealous. Thais are cute and all but let's face it they're not the hardest workers in the room. Chinese on the other hand have some serious work ethic. They are all about work work work. Their economy and all reflects it well. They are all about education, progress and working the hardest. The average thai is more like let's grab a latte, check Facebook and find a foreign bf. So as an intelligent person obviously you would look up to someone who's on a level above you and wish to learn. As a jealous simpleton you're just gonna hate.

When a bad woman dumps a guy, it is a blessing. A gift. A message. Thanks.

If that even happened.

I know what wimmins want, simple really, security and status,

Thats why I kept getting dumped, eventually I found the answer,

just lie to them, promise them the world and they will love you too big.

In 2005 I was in the middle of divorcing my first thai wife. I came home from work one lunch time and she was stood at my door, she'd moved out 5 months previous. I said what do you want. Sex, she said a woman has her needs she says. OK, did the business, free sex , not gonna moan about it. Job finished, She dressed, then said can I borrow £500 and she'd sign the divorce ! Like an idiot I lent it to her, never saw her again for 6 months then she returned to the uk and tried to get half my house and pension for a 2 years marriage. Lesson, don't ever meet or trust an ex you decide to split from !

The silence was emotional blackmail to extort money from you. It's very typical passive aggressive manipulation. She didn't like you but needed your material support. She got it. She won. You lost.

Had to smile at your post because it's so far off as to be laughable, this especially as you know nothing about the relationship we had.

In the six years we were together she never asked for any money, although I gave her some as pocket money, and when I asked her to leave, she went to live with her sister initially and took her/our daughter with her. She was devastated when I told her she had to leave and she spent days laying in bed crying.

I mentioned nothing about money, and neither did she, however sometime later when I sold the house, I did give her some money to start a little business, not only for her sake but to look after the daughter whom I had come to see as my own (and whom I still support and am putting through university).

There was never any win or lose in the whole situation, and if anything, I came out with all that I wanted, as I wanted my freedom and needed to free up some cash, and the bonus being that I still had a daughter whom I adored, and who adored me, and still does, so the situation suited me down to the ground, as the saying goes.

Don't give up your day job, as amateur psychologist doesn't seem to be your forte.

My b/f prefers Chinese, Korean or Japanese young men. But in Falangs, older - much older (40 years older in my case) - wins. Security + money.

All fine. We celebrate our 10th anniversary next Friday.

I love her calculated and effective attack and exit approach. Made my day. That it is now being posted here indicates she successfully executed it with a lasting impression to the extent that you seem troubled about the incident.

They don't all like them.  Was friends with a Thai girl in US . I went down to her restaurant on weekend  to  eat and she sat with me.  2 pretty Chinese girls who had seen her talking/eating with me before  decided to agravate her. She was sitting with her back to them.  Being winter they had long parkas on. They strolled over to our table and proceded to unzip the coats. They were wearing low rider jeans where you could see the thong panties they  were wearing and tied up shirts with lace push up bras. They said  "Hi" to me , when she turned around and saw them she yelled  " you fxxxxing Chinese Ho's" and charged them. I had time to grab her before she reached them who were now laughing. She asked me "you think that cute ?"   I said  "a little" can't you see they only teasing you"  Hadsome other interactions with Thai and Chinese as well. One tThai girl I met (another restaurant  owner) I said 'You are Thai, you don't look Thai" she said That's becuase I not regular Thai I Chinese Thai"  (is that supposed tobe better? i think they think so.

Chinese in Thailand are comparable to Jewish people in the western world in my opinion. They are usually fairly wealthy, well educated, most of them upper middle class and quite successful. Most I met are running trading businesses, gold shops or doctors/dentists. Of course some are not wealthy but this is the public opinion anyway. (Same as Jews in Europe) Naturally the majority of Thais won't like them just like the majority of Europeans secretly (sometimes openly) dislike Jews. Personally I find both Thai-Chinese and Jews nice people.

No proof I can show you. Personal experience believe or not. I am not Jewish by the way but I have ears.
