A Dutch man who was walking on the Pattaya Beach Road early this morning not far from Soi 6 reportedly collapsed before being found dead by other pedestrians.

 

Emergency responders were notified of the incident at 1:00 A.M. early this morning (December 27th) on the Pattaya Beach Road.

 

The first response teams and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the man lying on a sidewalk near an unoccupied motorbike taxi booth. The man was later identified by Pattaya police as an older Dutch national (The Pattaya News is withholding his name pending embassy and family notification).

At least he died walking on a beautiful beach walk area. Could be worse.

RIP Sir, lets see if they can track his movements to see if there was an assault prior to his collapse, of if he had a major event that caused his death, like my father did with a massive stroke, and while falling and hitting the ground it caused the head injuries.

No mention of alcohol consumption. Would be interesting to know what (other) people were around there at 1 A.M. (Shop side and beach side.)

 

If everything is closed, as reported in the past, this would be a creepy place to walk around at that time of night.

No I do not always take news stories at face value. That is a simplistic assumption  on your part. But I certainly  give no credence to semi illiterate  nonesense promoting unfounded sensationalism.

Years ago (don't know about now), there were very aggressive ladyboys active in this particular area, trying to grab one's valuables when you walked by. Also, wasn't there word out about numerous homeless, etc., on the beach these days. Add the 'ghost town' scenery of 2021, and who knows... For all we know, he could have been hit over the head several Sois down (or up), either side of the road, stumbling on, before finally collapsing near Soi 6.

Strange that all those (practically impossible) "suicides" didn't find their way into the Guiness Book of Records, and such, as they are really 'amazing', if only for the incompetence and corruption of the local police.

Where does it say hitting his head killed him? Sounds more like a heart attack from which you can die instantly. My father-in-law just sat down on the bed to take his shoes off and died that way.

Apparently near Soi 6, Soi 6\1 is the ladyboy soi

90% of the above comments are full of speculations and replies to such: most of which are rendered superfluous had the writers read the FULL story about witnesses seeing him collapse.  Those with lurid imaginations and pessimistic outlooks on life should receive bans for adding to false news.

Cardiac arrest maybe not heart attack, but usually when people fall over they don't get a serious head injury unless very unlucky
