A former electricity authority officer is accused by the Samet Police of shooting his wife to death after arguing at their home in the Mueang Chonburi district yesterday, February 20th.

The Samet Police was notified of the incident yesterday afternoon (February 20th) at a house in the Samet sub-district.

Police and rescue workers arrived at the house to find the body of Mrs. Tassana Boonyakarn, 61. A bullet wound was found on her neck and determined by rescue staff as the cause of death.

Steven I was just teasing you, i doubt you're behind in times. I doubt that her refusal to take the garbage out was the problem. The guy was probably mentally disturbed and according to the story they were always arguing. So this was just the last thing that send him over the edge. He should have sought help.

Just imagine how his kids feel for him killing their mom. Talk about hurting your kids.

It was him disobeying her orders that was the cause of the shooting (if you read the Thai press).

Your joking presumptions are quite sexist.

Another "brave" Thai male whose only brave behind the barrel of a gun.  RIP to the poor lady

Yes they were and your sarcasm detector is broken. I thought the emoticon made it clear.

Since when is it the job of first responders to "determine the cause of death"? Surely that is a pathologists' job?

Perhaps the pathologist responded first?

Not very bright.  Now he has to do it every night.

No, in jail you live amongst the garbage.

RIP to the poor woman, and I hope permanent garbage detail in prison for this guy

for many many years. Of course that is what the death sentence is I guess.

There goes his insurance policy - having kids so they take of you in your old age. But never mind - the government will do it now by giving him free board and lodging with rice soup thrown in.

I find the lack of empathy for this poor woman outrageous. The majority seem to think it's funny for God's sake. So many embittered expats who couldn't make a go of a relation ship with a Thai woman, so happy when a man puts a bullet in his wifes head.

RIP, what a banal reason to die for.

Which one isnt?

Mostly marriage is a big mistake... I married about hundred couples, 'cause I am a Pastor, but I've seen mostly dramas...

I could be way off-base here ... but I have an idea our compatriot was being sarcastic and facetious not sexist.
