Pattaya, Thailand-Lam Morrison’s daughter, Nattasha Nauljam, released a statement on her Instagram and spoke with TPN affiliated reporters late last night, February 21st, 2022, about the condition of her father, legendary guitarist Lam Morrison, who is well known in Pattaya.

The Instagram post, which can be seen here, revealed that Lam had a blood infection and was in an intensive care unit (ICU) in Pattaya and Nattasha asked for everyone to pray for her father. It was posted early in the morning on February 21st and she gave an update to reporters just a few hours ago, late at night.

Nattasha updated the situation, explaining that Lam Morrison was still in the ICU and was getting treatment for an infection in his bloodstream. It was still not clear what sort of blood and bacteria infection it was, according to Nattasha.

However, Nattasha stated that her father was doing much better than yesterday when he was first taken to the ICU and his strength had increased as had the color in his skin.

  • I saw him a number of times playing in the Blues Factory on Soi Lucky Star. At the back of JP Bar.

If so legendary and well known how come I never heard of him?

Regardless, I wish him a speedy recovery.

Maybe the use of the word "legendary" is a bit out there, "well known in the club scenes of Pattaya area" would be more like it...

Perhaps you did not spend much time in Thailand or frequent the music scene. I saw him in The Blues Factory, but this is a lot of years ago. I believe he opened his own place one time but it didn't last long.

I too wish him well.

It might be an age thing, the guy has been playing music around Thailand for many decades, but now he's in his 70's and slowing down, so perhaps those under 40 haven't heard of him, or unknown to those that don't frequent Walking Street.

He was a mainstay at The Blues Factory on Walking Street for a long time, I remember seeing him 20 years ago.

I wish him well.

Same with me, most of these are legends in their own imagination.

Lam is legendary. Has been nominated for the Thai Grammy once with his album "FOREVER KING" and known for decades ( since the 70's ) of the live music scene in Phuket, Samui, Bangkok and of course Pattaya. Met and played with him before in Samui (I had to do the bass cause he was on guitar ;-) see pics). Lam is a really cool, heartly, funny and easy going guy. Just what you expect from a Rock'n'Roller.

My best wishes for his recovery

At first I thought it was a spelling mistake ... Van not Lam Morrison ... but then I realised it wasn't. Been here 12 years and never heard of him but clearly a lot of people have some I wish him well.

Would or could well depend on how lengthy your 'Ignore List' is.

My guess is you didn't hang out in WS?

Fine guitarist, really enjoy his shows and wishing him a speedy recovery.  Certainly he’s a legend, there was a rumor about Jim Morrison’s love child.

Maybe K-Pop was more your scene? Dunno, give us a clue.

Lam, saw you play many times in the 80s when I was windsurfing and hangin out in Pattaya. Wishing for your speedy recovery. Best of luck.

I spent a lot of time in the Lucky Star bar #2 which I think is very close to the Blues factory, but never went in. I think the visual aspect would have been better outside.

Always made a point of visiting the Blues factory when on holiday to see Lam play, excellent guitarists and bit of a showman. Get well soon

Just because some here haven't heard of someone they question the use of the word "legendary", 555, do they think the world revolves around them? Like "I've never heard of this person, so he can't be a legend".

That seems like the work of a legend to me.
