I would say Putin/Russia have been looking at barbarism in the rear view mirror for quite a while now, they have progressed way beyond that by now in terms of evil, immoral, vile, dishonourable, and whatever else kind of horrible adjective you can think of. They are worse than despicable.
Can’t someone start a go-fund-me to raise enough millions of dollars for some brave soul to put a bullet in Putin’s brain? I would gladly donate a month’s salary.

The one thing you forgot here, is that Iraq was a push over, Russia is a nuclear power, so the USA and others will not get involved militarily because the last thing anyone wants is a nuclear war and Putin is not the late Saddam Hussain.

Although as a military strategist, he does seem to have a lot in common with Hussein.

Yeh well I guess it's kind of hard when you have others supplying your neighbour with extra weapons and getting involved from behind the lines when they say they aren't.

Who exactly is saying they aren't?

Lavrov confirms Moscow’s plans for regime change in Ukraine: “We will definitely help the Ukrainian people to free themselves from the regime that is absolutely anti-people and anti-history.”

The arrogance and cynicism of that one sentence alone is repugnant and sickening. How someone like Lavrov can say something like that with a straight face is beyond me. In April he had claimed, by the way, that Russia had no intention to change the regime in Ukraine.

You know that we can't trust any Russian...it's always someone's else fault.... they send missile to Odessa less then 24 hours off signing a no bombing agreement to deliver grain, they didn't give a damn about and send the missile, when accused of doing so, first answer """Not us, we didn't do it""" today all of a sudden they told the "partial" truth

Ukraine steps up attacks on Russian-occupied Kherson

A key Russian-held bridge into the occupied southern city of Kherson has been hit with a barrage of rocket fire by Ukrainian forces, who appear to be stepping up operations to isolate the city.

Video and witness accounts pointed to up to 18 detonations on the Antonivskiy Bridge over the Dnieper River, one of the main Russian resupply routes into Kherson, with Russian anti-missile air defences apparently failing to intercept the strikes. A second railway bridge upstream was also hit.

Filmed standing on one side of the bridge in a flak jacket, Stermousov said: “As you can see the movement over the bridge has been suspended. Indeed, tonight there was a strike by Himars.”

let's hope they are successful in destroying that bridge and then in encircling lots of Ruzzkies and taking them prisoners

They don't actually want to destroy the bridge. Apparently HIMARs are so accurate that the Ukrainian forces make the bridge impassable without destroying the structural integrity of the bridge.

impassable works too.

even better, then the offensive can go right over it.

There are reports on twitter and Ukraine language websites of a significant number of Russian troops encircled near Kherson, about 1,000 of them but nothing confirmed yet via credible sources.

ISW cannot confirm rumors about a Ukrainian encirclement of Russian forces near Vysokopillya as of this publication.

A rumor was all it was. No Russian troops were ever encircled.

The Ukrainians are also masters of propaganda.

Impassable is better because the bridge can eventually be restored to working condition. But it's in no shape to support traffic going in either direction, including an offensive

There actually seems to be quite a bit of evidence in support of that. And it hardly seems unlikely give that Ukraine has reclaimed about 15% of territory in Kherson.

As fake as fakes ever will be:

Around 1,000 Russian soldiers are reported to be trapped in Vysokopillya, having failed to evacuate in time.

If you've read Lewis Carroll's Hunting, a great nonsense poem, of the Snark you'll know that one of the characters says if I say it three times then it's true. You have one more time to go. Why do you think this story is so unlikely to be true? Are the Ukrainians not making advances on Kherson? Has the Russian military distinguished itself by its mastery of strategy and tactics?

I better use my last time right then.

The story first appeared about 5 days ago, but only on Ukrainian sites. Everyone happily shared this great news and the story caught some traction.

Then it Petered out, zero follow up and absolute zero evidence.

So what really happened?

Vysokopillya is mainly a pile of ruins and it was a contested city for a while, so there were probably very few if any Russian soldiers there at all.

Not surprising they are looking for specialists to help combat, fight and expose the amount of rubbish disinformation being spewed out by Russia, would you like some of the many examples?

Canadian Government also does some of this:
