Totally agree. Attention seeking masturbators. So "manly" as a rule that they need to resort to prostitutes to have a sex life.

I sense a bit of envy here against those that can afford a luxury like a Harley here in LOS.

When I was a kid, thought they were cool.  Although when upgrading to larger bike, stayed with quiet Honda, especially for dependability, since 80s.  Riding buddy was into them, and I took his for a cruise one day .... no thanks.  Just annoying to hear that while riding.

Now, they really annoy me.  Since going with the electric scooter, even the petrol scooters annoy me now ????

Smelly and noisy, sometimes   ????

If you're not part of the solution YOU are the problem ... ????

Yes sir, sounds like screeching branches...

I have to agree that Pattaya/Jomtien is full of idiot bikers. Its not only the ear-splitting noise, but also the terrible riding standards.

I have been a motorcyclist for 50+ years (my father and grandfather were also bike riders). Got experience with all kinds of bikes, and did a bit of racing in my younger days. I have also been a UK DAS bike instructor and an IAM Observer and Examiner.

I don't travel on anything with less than four wheels in Thailand. Know too many people who have been killed or injured on bikes - its multiple times more dangerous than in the UK.

The guys on the noisy big bikes are not genuine bikers. Most are utter dickheads with poor bike-handling skills and, as you say, simply trying to show off and posing. Would love to see a police crackdown to get these idiots off the road.

You have Harley, and you have wannabes. Often wannabes have more noise and higher and wider handle bars, make it stupid to to drive those monkey hangers.

It always gives me a big grin on my face when I see those hardcore wannabes coming uniformed looking like hardcore biker gangstas.

It's all an illusion, and whatever turns you on, and get you out of bed, is an good one. For me it's more entertaining than annoying

I am NOT saying that Harley riders are gay, but to me they're like gays...

In that I'm not 'one of them' but if they want to do their thing in public (be it loud and colourful or whatever) then good luck to them.

Ok, if they were revving engines outside my house early in the morning, it would be annoying. But them just cruising through town is not hurting anyone more than a loud truck or a Somchai with his racy exhaust or loud music.

Live and let live!

Oh I don't think so. They are fully satisfied heavy petting each other back at the clubhouse. No need to get women involved.

More likely the wind blowing in one ear and straight out the other unimpeded by any grey matter.

Meeting some of these guys who dear to ride outside the beach cities, and to be earnest, all of those I met on the road, be it gas stations or staying same hotels, they are really nice guys. Some look like real gangstas, and some you believe is gangstas or former gangstas, but they really behave nice to people around them.

often more rules and discipline among real bikers, than among other bikers, so all this hype about being free and alt that kind of bullpie, is just bullpie. They live by strict dicipline and rules.

Some of them you just do not get to close to, out of different reasons.

It's a Harley, and their sound is unique. I'm sure the price keeps many riding Hondas and such, not that there's anything wrong with that.

Better bikes? Yeah, probably so but they still sound awesome.

Sorry to break the news but no they don't look cool, mind you 99% of riders don't look cool but 99% of people think they do

I'm not a Harley guy, I've got an Italian bike that handles well and performs (162hp).

I see some nice bikes at the Burapa bike show over the years, the Thais are so artistic with their rides, bloody death traps but original, very impressive and eye appealing.

Agree, very nice sound but most Harleys I hear these days have a leaking exhaust manifold or manifold gasket.

Don't mind the sounds of a Harley but not so sure about the silly outfits they wear.

They have made one bike in my preferred category, and can not compare with any japanese or German quality unfortunate, but at least I think it looks ok, and hopefully deliver an better electric option in the future ????

I got 4 bikes ranging from 250 to 1000cc that fits my purposes from offroad to longer comfortable rides.

Yeah, and those guys sitting at home at their keyboards moaning all day about what other people do are really cool aren't they?

Given some of the unhinged responses on this thread I’m kind of siding with Harley riders !!!....

It's not as if Pattaya is the epitome of peace and tranquility....  noise is everywhere, loud bikes are just another ‘bit of noise’...

That's right, they aren't, but they aren't trying to be

A Harley doesn't have to be loud. That's a choice made by its owner.  They are beautiful bikes, well made,  long lasting, but overpriced. Choosing to buy one is no different than choosing which model car your favor. Personally, I prefer a nice BMW. Certainly more comfortable for long-distance touring, and with appeal to a very different sort of person. But that's what makes horse racing...

Pro tip: She likes the ride because a Harley is the world's biggest vibrator.

Are you so sure about that, he says as he looks in the mirror above his monitor and shyly smiles... .
