The solution was easy: don't take documents that are not yours. And if by accident they do end up at your place, return them.

You may be a non-American, but you are absolutely not a neutral observer.  Do you even understand how a search warrant is obtained?  There has to be suspicion that a crime was committed, that evidence

Thanks , I will take that advice and not take any document home with me that aren't mine

The classification of the status of the files has nothing to do with the granting of the search warrant and the Federal laws suspected of being broken by Trump.

"Sudden action" Really?

The documents were taken in January 2021 and NARA has been trying to negotiate with Trump since May 2021 for their return.

The sheer number of excuses offered by the right indicates an increasing level of fear and desperation.

That Brian Kilmeade used a photoshopped photo on Fox, with the warrant-issuing magistrate's head pasted onto Jeffrey Epstien's body shows just how desperate they are.

Same old bs with a plethora of excuses that all clash with each other.  E.g. "the evidence was planted."  Followed up with DT claiming he declassified all the documents.  He couldn't have done the latter if the former was true.

Just like with 1/6: 'that was an Antifa false flag attack' while the civilian rioter who was killed is declared a martyr-hero.  I would think some of those MAGA folks would take offense at this, but maybe not smart enough to figure that out.

For someone who is such an habitual liar you might expect him to be better at it at his age.

IMO certain overseas friends of 45's administration provided a laundry list of documents they wanted, in addition to whatever other 'souvenirs' he and his helped themselves to.  His fawning relationship with Putin tells all; I would think all the info in them was relayed to Mother Russia within days of January 20th 2021.  Also for some reason he would suck up to Turkey's Erdoğan, "why?" is a very legitimate question.

It's hard to say about his motivation but one theory is that he's always been a grifter, he considered everything he took as his own personal property and potential assets for later sales for massive amounts of cash (or trade for favors, payback for favors). Only suckers and losers don't take full advantage of such opportunities. The well being of the USA was never his thing; as an extreme narcissist the well being and WEALTH being of him and his family brand is everything. Being president didn't change his character. A recent example is how he buried his recently departed ex-wife in a place to create a massive tax loophole.

I like this one:

'They had it!' Fox News host baffled over why Trump World would lie about Mar-a-Lago search warrant

"Don't mistake or misconstrue what I'm saying, anyone around the table. I'm not rooting against the president. But what I don't for the life of me [. . .] if the president had the warrant, had the receipt, why would you tell your friends and your supporters that you didn’t have it and blame and attack FBI agents and other federal officials?

Pirro attempts to straighten him out, though she doesn't make sense (is that something new?).

But I think an alarm went off at Fox World Headquarters: "We're losing him!  get the triage unit!  And for chrissakes get Ingraham in there!"  Probably Ford will not be invited back.

Yes it's worrying that anybody, irrespective of whom they are,  supporting and condoning corrupt people, whether it be the Trump family, Marcos or even Boris actually have what level of morals and ethical conduct themselves. Perhaps it's birds of a feather flock together ?

Maybe you should say that to the relatives and loved ones of the over 1 million Americans who have died of Covid (the vast majority of which was under the Trump administration).

I'm sure they might not agree.

Well then I say just lets all forget it! I mean it's only the law of the land after all and 'special' people should always be exempt from the law.

Early last year, some experts were optimistic that 2021 would not be as bad as the first year of the pandemic — partly because effective COVID-19 vaccines had finally become available.

A total and utter dumpster fire WRECK!

LOL...and all you care about are the documents at Mar-A-Lago.

You are all in for a big kick in the teeth in November.

Trump and MAGA have never been stronger.

They know how to stop election fraud, so it's game on. No more cheating.

Vote accordingly.

Yes, everything was better.  If only Biden could achieve something as glorious as January 6, 2021.

No, it appears that the negotiations were going nowhere and Trump refused to give up the TS/SCI documents he had no business keeping.

From the artcile you posted:-

'COVID-19 deaths rose in 2021 — to more than 415,000, up from 351,000 the year before — as new coronavirus variants emerged and an unexpectedly large numbers of Americans refused to get vaccinated or were hesitant to wear masks, experts said'

Total deaths in USA 1.03 M, meaning there was 615,000 under the Trump administration.

Also as suggested in your article, the 2021 number was due to 'unexpectedly large numbers of Americans (who) refused to get vaccinated or were hesitant to wear masks'. Now as much as Trump personally wasn't responsible for this (to his credit), Conservatives made up the VAST majority of unvaccinated and non-mask wearing individuals in the US, fuleled by right-wing media and the politicisisation of the matter by the GOP.   https://www.vox.com/22947498/partisan-pandemic-polarization-coronavirus-vaccine

I don't want to debate this any more in the knowledge this could be going off-topic but the point being that the original potser was trying to paint a picture of everything so much better under Trump when it clearly wasn't.

You're quite correct. But that's because far more Trump supporters than Biden supporters refused to get vaccinated. Which is why I propose the the Republican elephant be replaced with a lemming.

They're willing to die to make Biden look bad.  That's dedication.  It's also gross stupidity, but dedication nonetheless.

Including around 150,000 deaths in January/February 2021, as there was a pandemic peak when he became president.

No, it says and means there were 351,000 under Trump's last year (2020) of administration.

Apart from the first 3 weeks of Jan 2021, the rest are Biden's (at least 600,000). Vaccines were not available at all until November 2020. So are things clearly so much better now?

Blinded by science?

Infections rose rapidly under Trump because he treated the virus as a hoax and downplayed masks and vaccines. Then there was a much higher infection rate after the virus mutated AS A DIRECT RESULT of the high number of infections floating about.

Rubbish - Trump encouraged fast vaccine R&D and production but it was still not vaccine available until Nov 2020.

Science and direct results? Bah humbug.

Trump signed off on it, but not before claiming it was a hoax and it was all going away. Several times. Trump instigated nothing.

Yeah....right.

The Trump administration outlined a goal of vaccinating 100 million people with the COVID-19 vaccine by the end of February, which would be enough to reach all healthcare workers and the country’s at-risk population.

Officials with Operation Warp Speed, a joint initiative of the departments of Health and Human Services and Defense (DOD), outlined the latest plans in a call with reporters Wednesday for distributing the initial doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Not to the ones who are already dead!

"New data analysis has revealed that if US Democratic voters were to make up their own country, it would have one of the world’s most vaccinated populations, with more than 91% of adults having received at least one shot.

Meanwhile, approximately 60% of Republican adults have received their first shot, according to data research by the New York Times."

"A total of 25 out of every 100,000 residents in counties that voted for DonaldTrump died of Covid in October, compared with the 7.8 per 100,000 in counties that voted heavily for Biden, according to the data analysis from the Times. October marked the fifth consecutive month that the percentage gap of death rates in red and blue counties widened.

Charles Gaba, an independent health care analyst, said that in October, the “reddest” tenth of the US saw death rates from coronavirus six times higher than the “bluest” tenth."
