To be disturbed by that one might have to believe that the movement will grow and grow to be a significant player in US politics. Personally I doubt it.

Need not have to grow to cause carnage to the country akin to domestic terrorism.

"Biden speech denouncing Trump, 'MAGA ideology' sparks threats, calls for violence"

says the headline.  Looks like Biden was telling the truth.

And yet...

Trump embraces, hypes QAnon conspiracy theories

After winking at QAnon for years, Donald Trump is overtly embracing the baseless conspiracy theory, even as the number of frightening real-world events linked to it grows.

On Tuesday, using his Truth Social platform, the Republican former president reposted an image of himself wearing a Q lapel pin overlaid with the words "The Storm is Coming." In QAnon lore, the "storm" refers to Trump's final victory, when supposedly he will regain power and his opponents will be tried, and potentially executed, on live television.

As Trump contemplates another run for the presidency and has become increasingly assertive in the Republican primary process during the midterm elections, his actions show that far from distancing himself from the political fringe, he is welcoming it.

but do you believe it will grow to the point of being significant?

I doubt it ergo I'm not getting exercised about it.

On the subject of transparency reducing corruption, I think we are all very aware that it depends which side of the political divide the person accused of corruption is on to determine how it is treated. With Trump we had about 6 years of all sorts of hare-brained accusations without supporting evidence which required forensic analysis of everything the guy did, without finding a smoking gun. People making these false accusations were not punished for doing so. The ultimate in transparency.

With Biden, the subject of this thread, there is a giant trove of evidence of potential misdoings(and certainly proof he lied about overseas business) which was falsely dismissed as being foreign disinformation and is generally censored. People that honestly and fairly try to discus and understand what the evidence proves are normally punished often banned outright from social media sites. The ultimate in opacity.

Yet you say that "Trump and the Republican party have actively fought such transparency". Clearly the opposite is true.

How stupid these Chinese people were! They didn't know Joe Biden was not holding any official position any more! Dumber than dumb! ????

"Chinese energy company CEFC paid first son Hunter Biden and first brother Jim Biden $4.8 million in 2017 and 2018, according to the Washington Post." (The NYPost now citing generally censored left-wing MSM ????)

You can also check it in the (generally censored ????) article cited:

"The Post did not find evidence that Joe Biden personally benefited from or knew details about the transactions with CEFC, which took place after he had left the vice presidency and before he announced his intentions to run for the White House in 2020."

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/03/30/hunter-biden-china-laptop/

As about "opacity" ????, "Hunter Biden’s financial arrangement with CEFC China Energy have been previously reported and were included in a Republican-led Senate report from 2020."

And that's how Biden's DOJ and the deep state have been protecting Hunter: ????

"Hunter Biden’s overseas work has been the subject of heightened scrutiny. He has been under federal investigation as part of an inquiry into his taxes, with witnesses called before a grand jury as recently as last month".

Meanwhile, perhaps people should remember why Hitler came to power, and it wasn't because they thought he'd make the trains run on time. Wonder why Trump is popular?

Please do tell us why Hitler came to power. Seriously, go on.......

LOL. If you are not aware of why Washington is not popular in areas of the US you can't have been paying attention.

To detail everything wrong with Washington would take too long and is probably off topic.

Why else do you think Trump was elected?

The old "if you don't know I'm not going to tell you" answer.  It didn't work when I was a child and it doesn't work now.

Give a few examples of the terrible things happening in Washington that got Trump elected and explain what Trump did to improve things.  If you can't do that, don't bother replying.

Rather than be abused and called a raving ...ah yes I see you edited it hmm. From yesterday, here is an excellent summary of Biden's lies and corruption. Fully corroborated by witnesses involved. Just imagine if this was Trump. And just look at the lack of transparency and desire to investigate these dealings with nations the US is currently having difficulties with. I think we will need to wait until after the midterms to get the transparency you so desire.

Good example of a nothing burger.  Point out the lies, corruption, and corroboration by credible witnesses.  It isn't there.

Watching the video, that's a truly disturbing Rally held by Trump, eerie music in the background, the Trump in a bizarre speech playing up to the crowd who were showing the Q “one” sign. The only thing missing was handing out the cool aid to the cult after.

I thought the Dracula rant was much creepier:

You're not getting exercised about the fact that the person who consistently leads in polls to be the next Republican candidate for President is now endorsing a lunatic conspiracy theory? Do you think his endorsement is going to help it grow among Republicans, where it's already got a strong foothold?

A Quarter of Republicans Believe Central Views of QAnon Conspiracy Movement

Americans who most trust far-right news outlets are nearly five times as likely to believe the central views of the conspiracist movement, a study found.

And was Biden endorsing QAnon, a movement which claims elites drink the blood of children to extend their lives? That The Storm is coming which is going to result in the mass executions of Deep State malefactors? That Donald Trump was secretly fighting a cabal of pedophiliacs who are shipping children around the country via a fake furniture manufacturer? And there's so much more.

So much more? Sounds like a cheap ad.

Calling a spade a spade.

Decent Americans don't want to unite with fascists.

They exist of  course but they need to be sent again into the shadows or American democracy is over.

It's bizarre. Trump supports a movement that explicitly claims Trump's elite opponents are drinking blood, but Nauseus focuses on decor instead.

Next time he may focus on Biden's dog! ????
