The UN votes 143 yea to 5 nay to condemn Russia's annexation referenda. 35 countries abstained. Thailand was one of the abstainers. Same day Putin is announced to come to APEC meeting in Bangkok.

You better look at the countries that voted in favour, they are certainly not all dependent on the G7 any more than those who abstained

They are more than welcome to not trade with G7/8/20 countries or turn down the foreign aid..... On the one hand its bad that they are 'controlled'- we dont want to be 'controlled' but we still want to trade and take the money.....

Only to some extent as there are few alternative pipelines which can be used by Russia to export its gas. It is necessary to liquefy gas, store it, and send it by special tankers. Russia has only a limited capacity to do so.
