Netizens on social media, including many foreigners, were outraged after spotting a Thai teenager dressing up as American notorious serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer for Halloween this year.

A short clip on Tiktok of the Thai teenager who was seen wearing a white t-shirt with the name of Jeffrey Dahmer and number was shared, reposted, and received a lot of criticism for the appropriateness.

Jeffrey Dahmer was an American serial killer and sex offender who committed murder and dismemberment of 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991. He was also known as the Milwaukee Cannibal or the Milwaukee Monster.

One of the surest signs that society and mankind are not progressing, and not moving forward is this whole social media, tik tok, twitter inspired netizen thing, and the incredibly thin skin millions

Different culture, different attitudes to death and Western history.

Did he come up with it out of the blue, or did he watch the Netflix show?  That seems to have made Dahmer (the character at least) very popular in Thailand.

What about Che Guevara or Chairman Mao t-shirts?

Well, it would be too common to go out dressed as Hitler with all the Hitler T-shirts and swastika stuff sold at most markets here in Thailand.

Funny how some things strike sensitive nerves here and other things don't.

One of the surest signs that society and mankind are not progressing, and not moving forward is this whole social media, tik tok, twitter inspired netizen thing, and the incredibly thin skin millions of people are afflicted with, these days. Having thick skin is a sign of high self esteem and knowing who you are, where you belong and how you fit into this world. Thin skin is so unattractive. It is such a sign of weakness and the constant social media criticism and need for PC, is so ugly.

Get over yourselves. Grow some thicker skin.

Shave his head up the middle and whack his pp.

He's just a sentimental lad, honoring the memory of his late uncle King Edward VIII.

Most Thais are too skinny to pull that one off.

Part of Halloween is about mocking the things we fear.  Murderers, cannibals, and things that most of us don't even believe in.  Spite the devil.

My scariest Halloween incident was when living in a US suburb, shovelling out candy to the kids who rang the doorbell.  At one point I opened the door and there were two girls, about ten years old.  One of them was wearing some very shear, non-opaque cloth.  All I could think of was "get this nearly naked kid away from my house!"  I was so shaken I dropped the candy bucket.  After they were gone and I calmed down I realized that was her self-made costume of the princess from the cartoon-movie Aladdin, very popular at the time.  The girl was olive-skinned, so I guessed she was seeking a character who she resembled.  Very creative.

Outing a swastika online for any reason causes outrage and condemnation here in Australia. There's always someone who lost a relative or more. Thais don't have the same reason to fear the presence of a swastika.

The age of the easily offended...

Probably find that the person dressed as Dahmer does not know he was real and thinks he was fictional due to recent tv show

There's no humor in any aspect of that loathsome creature, who, I'm glad to say, was beaten and choked to death by fellow prison inmates.

Some Netflix’s Movies should be monitored by parental control for Thais. ????

A lot of brash clothes worn here, the owners have no clue as to what is printed on them.

Just another example of how Asians completely misunderstand Halloween. No, it's not "let's all dress in happy PC costumes" day, and it's certainly not "let's all dress as slutty as we can and take photos" day - though I have to say I approve of the latter, even if it isn't what Halloween is about. ????
