Pattaya — An alleged Russian dine-and-dasher was attacked by a Pattaya bar owner for reportedly refusing to pay his 60-baht bill. The bar owner claimed the tourist initiated the altercation by slapping her in the face first.

 

The Russian tourist was surrounded by bar goers and bar operators of the Bonsai Bar when Sawang Boriboon rescuers arrived at 2:30 AM today, January 13th. The tourist, only identified as Mr. Michel, in his early 50’s was dazed and confused and had sustained multiple non-life-threatening injuries.

 

He was covered in blood after he allegedly tried to flee Bonsai Bar when he was asked to pay his 60-baht bar bill, the bar owner only identified as Ms. Jane told The Pattaya News.

 

The bar is located in the Nongprue subdistrict of Banglamung district, Chonburi. The 53-year-old bar owner, Jane, claimed Mr. Michel refused to pay his 60-baht tab and slapped her in the face in an effort to flee the bar.

I remember growing up we would go out and get an ice cream cone for 5 cents, bottle of water for a penny, and watch a movie for a dime.   That was 17,000 BC.

There's no way 60 baht is the story.   Drunk, rude, loud, aggressive, and definitely it seems like both parties have some explaining to do.   Nothing good happens after midnight, unless you are in Pattaya!!!!!  LOS, Land of Sexpats.  lol.  

Probably his hotel is near the bar and he's been out all night and called in there bladderd, he's realised he hasn't got any company and decided to try and get one of the smiling assassin's from a bar he's already had lady's from previously.there sick of him and told him to Pai loie, to which he's taken umbrage and thus the ensuing melee has pertained...

Looking at the size of him , I think he would have taken a few with him had he been sober.

Was it a true bar tab and he trying to sneak out or a false tab.. My first time in Thailand many years ago I was hit with extras added but lucky for me I was with a lot of other Thais that stuck up for me.  So what is the truth.

This is what I mean. Crazy Thais and it needs to change. There needs to be harder penalties for Thais who attack foreigners.

Likely served before 2am. He is allowed to drink it after that time. He was probably so <deleted> he didn't drink it and was then required to pay for it.

Many arrogant Russians believe they are  superior to the rest of the planet and behave as such on occasions. Considering what they are avoiding at home they should keep a low profile and avoid trying to steal free drinks .
