This is just like the people who move into a house next to a motorway or under the flightpath to a major airport then complain about the noise !!! 

 

 

Easy solution - move to a ’non-tourist’ area !!!

There are 10,000 Facebook pages of tourists asking, "Whey will these annoying expats .... off!!!!"

 

It's easy, spend 100 million on an area and have security where it's basically impossible for a farang to visit, unless it's the Navy Seals and Chuck Norris.   I haven't seen a farang in over 11 years after I sold my company.

 

Why would I ever come to Thailand if I didn't like tourists??

I hear you.... Pattaya was great when they reopened things the first time during Covid and there was nobody here but lovely  polite Expats, chucking money around and buying drinks for all the girls.... no silly woke tourist wai-ing everyone, and eating at food stalls in silly baggy cotton pajama suits.! 

You better get used to it ,or move ,as there are many 1000's booked up

to come here and they are Chinese ....

Only people on O visas or Elite get to moan. Everyone else is a tourist some just pretend to *teach* English. Anyone on TR complaining about tourists is total irony in 2023

There's only one thing worst than the droves of tourist walking around aimlessly around  and that is the  farang expats and 2 week millionaires that   live stream the same old same old <deleted> on YouTube .  talk about ground hog day ..

The  thing about the YouTube vloggers is  that they've not got an original idea between them , Soi 6 ,Soi 6 ,Soi 6 Soi 6 ,  tree town, tree town, tree town, Bah ! bah ! bah ! 

I understand you. Due to Covid we had a very quiet great time here in Pattaya. There was even a time when the nightlife was shut down - Pattaya suddenly a quiet city without (much) sin. For a while I thought it was the right choice to retire here ????????????. 

 

I just came back from a longer walk in Central Pattaya. Weeks ago I had the feeling I am in India. Today I had the feeling I am in Russia. When will the feeling that I am in China come back again... ?

 

I saw very many sex tourists running around with their prey and this around noon. And in the evening I see mostly "western" farangs looking for booze and sex. Pattaya is back to "normal" again ????????????.

See! You can travel the World and don't even need to get your behind out of Pattaya!

I got fed up with the excess of tourists in Jomtien  many years ago, not so much the families and sensible ones, but all the people tattooed from head to toe, drunk or out of their heads on narcotics from the time they woke up, aggressive and with no manners whatsoever. I moved around 1½ km inland and bought a house there, it's not a tourist-free area, but there are far fewer of them out here. When I drive to Jomtien now and see the crazy traffic and crowds of people, with more than a few head-bangers among them, I'm very glad I took the plunge and left the main tourist/entertainment/beach area. If it gets much worse in the city, I might look at moving out to the lake, or maybe even down to Ban Chang.

That would be a wise choice. I am living in the Boonies here in Banchang with no tourists at all. In the jungle with peace and quiet to spare. 

I hardly see any tourists in my seaside town.

My problem is...too many Thais????

Makes me actually feel at home. Back there are so many Orientals now, that I sometimes think I flew to the wrong place! - But yes, while Pattaya's tourists years ago were mostly European, nowadays it feels more like Hong Kong; lots of Chinese and a large number of Indians (only that the latter don't sell Rolexes, but instead 'lose' gold necklaces)...

I think most of those from HK prefer to be be called Hong Kong people, no love lost with mainland Chinese.

Careful P might decide he needs to protect Russian speakers and claim to annex … additional vacation spot and place to retire …

And I wonder when some of the annoying expats will buzz off.  The ones that think they can do what ever they want, and here for a free ride. 

There are approx. 70 millions Thais and probably several million migrant workers so thats a lot of mouths to feed, how else would they earn a living if there were no tourists? This is a major tourist destination so if you are not happy with that I suggest you move else where, I hear Burma is pretty quiet right know, also Laos as long as you dont mind lots of Chinese!!

At the moment there are not so many Chinese yet since tour groups were not allowed. But since yesterday they are allowed to leave China ????????????????????????????????????

Great post. I am counting the days until the Christmas and New Year mob, especially those rude Russions go home. Not too worried about the Chinese they dont frequent the beach or the bars.

Everything in life is a trade-off.

I enjoy their wonderment and for some of them, their absolute lack of knowledge.  Saw one guy knocking on the back window of a Baht bus and then jumping off the back.  Think it was just past Soi 6.  Hahaha

Many many families with children walking down Walking Street.  Got to see all the sights before we travel elsewhere!

Indeed. Don't they understand that the closer to the equator you get, the more formal you should dress.

 

Anybody who sits at a food stall in anything short of a full dinner-suit and tie is just plain making a fool of themselves.
