Any thoughts on who they can send up in it?

The Astro-a-nut-in perhaps?

The original appearance of Astronut on Deputy Dawg.

We beat the Thai government with there launch by launching a Sky Lantern from Patong Beach 2 hours ago. It lifted off and at T+ 2 minutes was through the clouds and gone from sight...launch was videotaped.

Is there a such thing as reckless driving in space? Or do they somehow find patient, careful, responsible pilots for a mission like this?

Somehow Thailand and space don't seem like a comfortable fit. Am I underestimating the science and technology here?

And they are planning to use F-35 from Amelika to shoot it in Sky!!

I got a tip to buy rubber stocks as the govt will soon be buying all it can get to build the giant rubber bands to power the rocket.

They can get all the rubber they need from Pattaya... highly flexible, dotted and transparent. ????

and the  average wage is still "ukall

It is what it is, about right actually, we’re not in Kansas, but what’s that gotta do with the price of fish? If it were the same as your home country, would you be able to afford it here? How’s about the average Indian wage while poverty reigns supreme and Britain still sends them billions every single year. They have a huge space industry compared with Britain. All irrelevant.

Easy to mock the Thais on this one—be able to see other countries etc, I get it, that’s funny. But good luck to em. There’s some brilliant minds here and also a ton of money for good stuff like this… though typically hidden away in army coffers,

The THEOS-2 satellite weighs about 425kg and is equipped with a high resolution camera.

The "High resolution camera" is a refurbished Iphone 12.

Maybe the floods will stop with better information, or where the forests are burning to cut down on PM2.5

Imagine they found out that Thailand is not the centre of the Earth...

That hasn't been since they stopped believing in a Flat Earth. Decades now.
