Sickening just watching that vdo.

That's about as evil as one can get.

I hope the <deleted> gets all that he deserves, and more.

Its possible the car driver couldnt see the chaser in his mirrors and changed lanes causing the collision without deliberation. He almost certainly knew he was being chased. Did the bike have 'blues and twos'?

I wasn't aware that such a job existed in Thailand, even after more than 10 years living here, considering that the driving standards are closely related to most drivers with an IQ of below 10.

Seems to me the guy was making money under false pretences and the fact he was drinking alcohol just adds insult to the victim.

RIP Sergeant Setthakan, you were killed because of the man being afraid because he had an e-cigarrete device.

Your family should sue the government for its stance on these devices which unfortunately created the situation you faced and perished from.....

Idiot.

Boy howdy, does that look familiar 'eh?  I bet the results are different for a 'driving instructor' as opposed to a billionaire's heir.

Maybe he should make contact and get some advice .

Agreed that was a deliberate act to take out the motorcycle.

Not an accident, it was murder.

and it should be tried as such;

1. provided he doesn't get bail and do a runner

2. provided he survives long enough.

One of my biggest complaints about Thailand is that they have no Highway Patrol who do "hot-pursuit" in order to stop and ticket drivers for moving violations.

However - a single cop on a motorcycle in hot-pursuit of a car?  Not very wise.

One of my biggest complaints about Thailand is that they have no Highway Patrol....Of Course They Do,But they're always " Sitting Off " the Highways watching for Speeders or Waiting to Escort some VIP !!

Really? That's your takeaway from this story?

The driver was simply someone who couldn't handle the potential consequences.. probably less than 10,00 Baht in fines..

Video shows he deliberately rammed the policeman. Vehicular homicide..

Thanks to the video, everyone can see this.

Agreed. While the car driver is 100% at fault for everything else - this would've been prevented if he just followed the car instead of trying to overtake it. The rule of the road is don't **** with anything bigger than you - it's better to be wise (and alive) than right.

Very true. It seems the right of way here is determined by the size of your vehicle. Bikes must yield to cars, and cars must yield to trucks, since traffic laws rarely apply, it is survival of the biggest.

They have difficulty doing the basics right. The man in civilian clothes with a lit cigarette leaning over the crashed motorcycle.

They do. Completely oblivious to any potential risks or danger.

They think there may be a case to answer of deliberate vehicular homicide.

I think that is evidently what happened having viewed the video, which as others have said was disturbing, but sadly, that shows the mentality of many here and highlights how disrespected the Police are, arguably for good reason.
