Pattaya — The new chief inspector of the Pattaya Police Station, Pol. Maj. Suchart Dusdee, instructed his subordinates to be service-oriented and take good care of citizens and tourists.

During a morning huddle on Monday, June 26th, Pol. Maj. Suchart said that every officer needed to be service-oriented and eager to make the Pattaya station an organization that the public could trust.

He instructed that police officers must inspect their weapons to ensure they were ready for use, as well as their vehicles, which must be in 100% operational condition, before carrying out their duties to serve the public.

  • Not wanting to point out the bleeding obvious, but ensuring they can shoot you is probably not the #1 item they should work on to gain the public's trust.

Trust and respect should never be freely given, and should always be earned, regardless of position or social status.

There are good reasons the RTP commands so little, in the way of respect and trust. Many fast food restaurants are owned by franchisees. The position of most members of the RTP, is also that of a franchisee.

Always good for a laugh.

Great to see that they haven't lost their sense of humour!

Who dreams up this rubbish?

And I pledge that I will be playing the role of Santa this Christmas giving Rolex watches to all my fellow villagers. Only on the condition they cough up 2 million BAHT each and don't find out they are fake.

Above reminds me of the Vietnam War-era meme:

"Give us your hearts and minds, or we'll burn your damn huts down!"

They don't look "friendly," more like gun toting thugs.

Is that why they are pointing guns at us?  I'm not too sure I trust their trigger discipline.

And I pledge that I will never do anything unlawful, so the police should no longer stop me at those check point, I will even print my pledge and paste it on my windshield to help expedite matters, In Fact I think they should have an express lane for all those who have taken the pledge.

Next time I am at a police check point I will suggest it.

Just remember, next time you see one of these express lanes, you have me to thank for.

During a morning huddle on Monday, June 26th, Pol. Maj. Suchart earned himself the Quote of the Year Award.

After which, he marched smartly back to his office, went in, locked the door, and was not seen or heard of again all day......rumour has it that there is an escape hatch in there.

The last thing I ever want to see is a drawn gun. They watch too much US TV and news services, which have no credibility whatever.

It's just funny how every NEW chief inspector starts off with "good intentions" that they ALL fail to keep...

If I was to show articles like these to people in the UK,  they would just look at me like I was a complete idiot.

Never ever seen such a ' rotten to the core ' alleged legitimate Police force where the majority don't even know the law or how to apply it.

The whole system needs scrapping and starting again from scratch.

Corruption starts at the highest levels of government and law and order and filters right down to the fruit sellers in the streets.

and fleece them for as much as they can get

Some-one should educate the NEW boss, respect is earned and until then everyone will view his comments as farcical .

He forgot I noticed to tell  ALL his offers to obey the LAW as well...!!!!

I am pretty sure that if you shut down the RTP in its entirety that crime in Thailand would more then halve over night.
