17K golf cart ride.  When I get off those flights I am ready to stretch my legs.

I must admit I usually get in a good walk as well. I don't normally use the travelators either.

With a single terminal airport like Suvarnabhumi it can be a good distance, unlike Heathrow for example.

What would be the odds that she was hired by the TAT...

Yeah.

Strange about the whole thing.

Who was behind the camera?

Transport laid on ready in case someone with an elite visa was on the 'plane?

If you want to walk "Good" after your visit.... Best not to use the travelators...Well at DMK anyway!

Nice PR marketing ploy... entice other well-heeled Chinese.

it doesn't seem to run parallel to the doom and gloom I read in western papers how the economy of china is tanking

It certainly looks like a PR vid for the Chinese to come, she wasn't filming herself, cameraman on hand, I would lay money that she doesn't even have an Elite visa.

What !   no police motorcycle escort, with blue lights flashing and siren screaming, from the airport to her 5 ✳️ hotel.  She deserves a refund ????

Mere rumour at this stage.

I contacted Thailand Elite about the 5 year Elite.  I got a response that I should consider the 20 year because prices will go up.  .  20 years could be beyond the span of this life.

Obviously a well choreographed film shoot, with multiple cameras/angles. This was not an amateur job? Maybe because Thailand has been getting so much bad press, in China?

Only someone accustomed to living under the CCP, would not mention the very high luxury taxes, and wine taxes. Just two of several things that discourage wealthy tourists, who like spending real money, when they travel.

So happy for her.

Now if i could only get an online tourist visa without jumping through hoop after hoop of nonsense....but i am just a regular person that has been to thailand dozens of times over past 25 years with never a hint of border jumps or overstays (good customer?) and not the kid of some rich folks....so naturally i am treated like some kind of criminal trying to get a simple tourist visa.

The wealthy Chinese are trying to get their assets out of China.
