A distraught Russian tourist was arrested on Wednesday morning, October 18th, in Soi Buakhao, Pattaya, after allegedly causing a disturbance in the area.

 

The tourist, who was not identified by police, reportedly trespassed into people’s accommodations and stores without permission. Additionally, he tampered with a sedan parked in front of a residence according to a local media report. Alarmed citizens notified Pattaya police, who arrived at the scene at 7:30 AM to apprehend the man.

 

Upon arrival, the police observed that the Russian man appeared distressed, paranoid, and was unable to communicate coherently. Prior to the police’s intervention, he had also grabbed other people’s laundry left hanging outside and then discarded them in a nearby trash bin for unknown reasons.

How very unusual. Russians are well thought of as fine upstanding, sober tourists. 

I guess he'll be in big trouble back in the land of despots and murderous tyrants for showing Russians in a bad light. 

It could be alcohol and or drugs.  But I’m guessing the police would have made that observation . It could have possibly been a mental health issue.  

Is this the start of the behavior of those who have fled their country to avoid conscription. With a 90 day visa will they have the funds to support themselves? Or will they take the jobs of struggling Thais. Have the implications of placing one group of escapees over Thais? I think those in power have been blindsided.

Not weed. It doesn't make people do stuff like that. Alcohol is the most likely culprit.

Maybe that's why he was so distressed. He saw the PM shaking hands with Putin and thought Thailand may now repatriate all Russians of fighting age. Ha!

I would have thought you'd have had to be riding a giant pig, naked and throwing firecrackers everywhere for plod to notice you in Pattaya. Still I bet the plod could not find the hookers in that soi either 

Russians are in the news a lot just lately, 

A post with derogatory trolling comment toward Thai women contravening our Community Standards has been removed.

If he's here dodging the draft, deportation's the last thing he needs. Better to have kept his head under the parapet.

Start to read more of these stories since it was legalized being so like most there is no plan or controls.

Today shops are everyehere I remember when first available a young friend purchased a brownie at a booth just off Soi Diana a while later got really sick.

Not saying these reads are linked but does get me thinking. Enjoy but be careful.

Maybe he was on a special military operation and got mucking fuddled ?
