A violent altercation involving a gun and a tuk tuk in Phuket led to the arrest of an English national. The incident, which occurred on the evening of January 1, involved the suspect, identified as 38 year old Jamie, hitting his co-passenger with a hidden firearm. The argument escalated within the tuk tuk while en route to a café in Kamala.

The driver testified that he had picked up two foreign tourists intending to drop them off at the Del Mar café in Kamala.

However, one of the passengers asked to stop to charge his phone at an accommodation in Soi Paradise, Hua Khuan, Kamala.

It was during this detour that the driver heard an argument, followed by one passenger hitting the other with a gun. The magazine fell to the floor, prompting the driver to stop and call the police. The perpetrator then fled the scene.

At 5pm yesterday (January 2), investigative police coordinated with Phuket Provincial Police to inspect the suspect’s suspected residence in the mentioned Soi. Although the perpetrator was not found, bloody shoes and a passport were discovered, confirming that the suspect had indeed been staying there with another friend.

Would like to see a reenactment. How can one hit someone with a 'hidden firearm', unless the firearm was hidden in his shirt sleeve...

No mention about the woman partially shown in the right hand side of the picture. I don't think we're getting the full story.

We never do, we have to make up our own story,

Amateur..

Í hope instantly, he will be banned from entering Thailand when they sent him back to Sunak after having paid a hefty fine. We definately don't need such tourists here.🥴

Should we assume that this is an expat Brit? Why would a tourist feel the need to buy and have a gun with them on their holidays?

Way more to this story than we know for now.

Alternatively, one could read the article...

I don't think you're getting the full story, perhaps because you haven't read the linked article.

Picture looks like Phuket's latest boyband

Well a wally anyway ffs

Good reason to haul around a battery backup charger.

So where did the missing 9mm rounds go?  Wonder how long he has neen in Thailand?

Who's blood on shoes?

Seems kinda stupid to show gun like that.

Sounds like a bad guy.  I dint5 think he is getting off with just a fine.

As the end of year resulted in a draw between Russia and the Britons, The Britons start early sending a message to the The Russians. They will not tolerate another loss or draw. This year the are in for the win. This opens up for an exiting year, and we are waiting to see what The Russians counter measure is going to be.

Gathered his belongings - but left his passport behind. Uh huh.

And apparently dumped the gun (and extra ammo) somewhere it could easily be found.
This sounds like and episode of "America's Dumbest Criminals" (not a real show though maybe it shoud be).
You know, like the bank robber who wrote a stick-up note on the back of one of his own cheques and then handed it to the cashier.

Not hard to suspect that he was "staying with a friend" or at "the girlfriend's place" because he didn't want his name on a rental agreement (and being reported to Immigration).

Hopefully the media follows up on the story because I suspect there's more going on than reported on so far.

Why would a Brit have a gun. Being a Brit, I probably has no idea how to use it. Are we sure that I hit this "Mate"

with a gun? I would be more likely that he hit his fellow Brit with his purse.

Maybe the Russian tourist bashers, should direct their ire to the British tourist, as seem to make the headlines a bit more.  A bit concerning considering they're supposedly out numbered here by them pesky Ruskies.

Just an observation.

On topic ... perp no too gun savvy.  Or POS gun ... drop the mag out of it :giggle:

But I thought it was only the Chinese and Indians that were bad. All others were of quality?
