brianthainess Posted January 27 Posted January 27 That's Some of the best driving I've ever seen in Thailand. 😲
phil2407 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Although I agree crazy man doing what he did What's the fine for no license here? What's the fine for dangerous driving? Doubt it's 12k but the court set the benchmark mark - all for 1 & 1 for all
Bangkok Barry Posted January 27 Posted January 27 18 hours ago, tgw said: quite the opposite, I wish the prick in the OP would have been fined more, maybe together with a license suspension, and all the other pricks as well ! What license? Chon Buri Provincial Court fined a Lithuanian man 12,000 baht for dangerous driving and getting behind the wheel without a licence

Mr Meeseeks Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Seems like a steep fine, but it is a foreigner. As others have said, I very much doubt a Thai would be fined that much for similar behaviour.

Cant suspend what he hasnt got, how about chuck him out, girlfriend is doing well for herself.
shackleton Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I think the Thai owner of the car bares some responsibility for his actions and should be fined as well 🤔 Don't let unlicensed people drive mind you if he was Thai lesser fine 🤑
Guderian Posted January 27 Posted January 27 23 hours ago, webfact said: the owner was a 45 year old Thai woman named Sukanya Well if Khun Sukanya can afford 4 or 5 million Baht for a BMW Z4, I don't think paying a 12,000 Baht fine for her naughty Lithuanian boyfriend is going to worry her too much.
Frankie baby Posted January 27 Posted January 27 The guy got his fine. But the two tier system goes on. I wonder what the fine is for a Thai speeding, and on the wrong side of the road of course.
bristolgeoff Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Thais do the same for sure I Imagine with their car maybe get caught and told go home or a private small fine at the time.Don,t know about this case but it seems he did not listen or let it go out of control

spidermike007 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 There is not a single day that goes by in the nearly two decades that I've been in Thailand that have not seen locals engaging in very reckless driving Not a single day, yet none of them are ever pursued, the highway patrol is never on the highway, the police never pull anyone over. So why is this guy singled out?

There is no traffic police anywhere inside the town. Red-light jumping is fairly common by cars and MCs at the pedestrian crossing near Rompho Market, blocking corner turns by parked cars, etc. Of course, both foreigners and the locals are responsible. Which town has no traffic police ?... In all the towns I've been to its the Police who are controlling the very lights at the main junctions so many are jumping... if thats not 'in front' of them, I don't know what is. 1 1

Yes, there definitely have traffic police in Pattaya. They are playing personal bodyguards / escorts to rich folks. Saw a couple of them doing this to the owner of that Chinese restaurant right next to Royal Garden Plaza on 2nd Rd a few nights ago. The one with two expensive luxury cars parked in front of that restaurant. Wonder how much it costs for personal bodyguard protection by the cops. Anyone here knows the costs involved to hire their services? Edited January 29 by bbi1 1
