A late-night incident on January 25th, 2024, saw a tourist van overturn in Pattaya, leaving the driver with minor injuries.

 

At 10:30 PM, the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation received a report of the accident, which occurred on Soi Pattaya Park off of Thappraya Road, Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province.

 

Rescue teams and volunteers swiftly reached the scene and found a white Toyota minivan lying overturned on its side. The vehicle had sustained significant damage, but fortunately, there were no passengers inside.

Nope, not unusual at all, probably find a ghost was in the van at the time of the accident.

 

I'm sure once the BIB investigate they will find that there was a troublesome ladyboy at the scene to. 

 

The wife says it's a typical non-fiction story line in the Thai movies she watches. 

 

Can you sniff the glue and turn the big wheel thing?  If yes you are a fully qualified Thai van driver.

Nah. It was spirits. Sang Song, Lao Kao, or whatever its called.

These drivers are brain damaged. They get in a car and they must drive at the maximum speed possible at all times. Not even drunk or anything they just can't control their emotions and reason about what speeds are safe.

He informed authorities that he had just finished transporting Russian tourists to a hotel and that the van just “swerved unexpectedly”

 

Vodka fumes.

Do these minivans & buses that transport passengers have cameras that record both out forward and inside the van?

Seems like it should be mandatory.

Van overturned because the driver didn't wear monk amulet. I'm quite sure this is the cause of accident.

I would say just a simple case of a sudden temporary shift in the earths magnetic field or if thats too complex how about  "dolly did it"!

They left out the first part of the sentence, "When I woke up the van..."

looks like it just happens to be at a curve in the road ..  I'm sure it had "nothing" to do with diving too fast while looking down at a cell phone and realizing the sh*t was about to hit the  fan .... sudden jerk the wheel or was that jerk behind the wheel ?

Ironically, amulets and sak yant tattoos are probably the only thing they would understand! 

The driver, Mr. Chaiyut Awampad, 53, stood at the scene with minor injuries.'  He would have fled but couldn't get the bus back onto four wheels.

What on earth is that concrete barrier doing in the road just before the bend? who's bright idea was that? that could make you oversteer if it is not lit. 

To fast round a curve normal here
