Popular online travel platform Tripadvisor ranked Pattaya in Thailand 7th in the Travellers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best Destination for 2024, suggesting the beach city is the perfect choice for great resorts, outdoor activities, cabaret and cultural tours.

 

Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award Best of the Best for 2024, is divided into five categories including destinations, restaurants, beaches, hotels and things to do. The list is based on reviews and opinions from Tripadvisor users over the past 12 months.

 

Pattaya, on Thailand’s eastern Gulf coast, was ranked 7th in the destinations category, with the website claiming that only 1% of Tripadvisor listings could make its name.

 

Tripadvisor highlighted Pattaya’s must-see attractions, including the famous Jomtien Beach, Khao Phrabat Temple, Sanctuary of Truth and the city’s lively entertainment venues. The Sanctuary of Truth was also recently chosen as the location for the action sci-fi film, The Creator.

And the wunnerful Sanctuary of Truth even gets a mention. Thai baroque gone mad.

 

I visited it in 2011 when it was fairly new. Can't believe it could have become more truthful since then.

Boundaries for boat exclusion. This is an island off the coast of Pattaya called Koh Larn. Packed with tourists in high season, but relatively clean sea compared to Pattaya beaches.

I know Jomtien beach. It's ok, but famous? Sure not.

Supposedly it defines a safe swimming area not from sharks of the marine variety but of the ski jet variety.

1. Tokyo in Japan
2. Seoul in South Korea
3. Halong Bay in Vietnam
4. Palawan Island in the Philippines
5. Sapa in Vietnam
6. Bogota in Colombia
7. Pattaya in Thailand

Can have different opinions about Pattaya, but on this list should be in top 3!

It's a net for catching Beach road freelancers that veer off course ! 

I completely disagree … it’s the 5th best tourist destination in the world within 150 km of Bangkok.

Yes there is  - Pattaya 2 (known locally as Pattaya song) on Ubolratana Lake near Khon Kaen in Isaan.

I remember the time they were caught advertising Phuket with a picture of a beach in Scotland. 🤣

The sharks in thailand walk on two legs. the red and white floats are to keep the

jet skiis and boats seperate from swimmers. Must be some newbees on here that finally

got out of the bars ans noticed the òcean side. Please enjoy your visit.

Warm climate round the year, delicious food, low cost rent, low cost services like massage you will not find anywhere else in the other countries, pretty advanced infrastructure including transportation, friendliness of local people...
