The streets are getting dangerous due to these ladyboys , and why the hell on earth Thai immigration allows other Filipinos to carry on what they are doing in the streets of Thailand? Iam sure they lied on the entry point as Tourists but actually are in the same flesh trade . It’s scary

What caused it?

It was abnormalities in the brain from a younger age that eventually turned them into freaks, thus the violence in the streets

Officers from Lumpini police station were dispatched to the scene, to prevent the confrontation from intensifying, and invited the two groups to the police station to settle their dispute, with the promise of justice for both sides.

...

He then urged the Thais to disperse, a request with which they complied.

That account above from Thai PBS is not exactly what the other news reports say occurred, as the modest police presence there ("over 10" officers) seems to have been pretty much overwhelmed by the angry Thai ladyboys.

From the OP Thaiger report:

"At around 3:30am, police officers, numbering just over ten, arrived to establish a perimeter around the hotel and escort the first two Filipino individuals out amidst the uproar.

Despite pleas from the police, communicated over loudspeakers, to avoid violence, the situation quickly descended into mayhem as the Thai group began hurling bottles at the emerging Filipino individuals. Several members of the Thai group broke through the police line and physically attacked the Filipino individuals, who were dressed in white hoodies and dark glasses.

The police struggled to contain the violence, which culminated in the Thai group dragging the Filipino individuals out in front of the hotel to continue the assault."

But ya, sure, the RTP had everything perfectly well under control!

Any family walking down Soi 11 at 3:30 AM  has a low set of Family Values.

what an absolutely ridiculous statement!

they may just be arriving at their hotel, or going to 7/11 for some milk and water before a long car journey.

what is wrong with people at all!

bob.

Yeah, and not really any uproar with Thai on Thai violence either.....

....but when a foreigner does something to a Thai it leads to mass unrest.

Rightly so, at least they take care of their country, unlike in the West.

Thai's are the most insular people i've come across/met.

They said that the rally was intended defend the dignity of Thai LGBTQ+ people.

Don't know quite how to respond to that gem...  "Epic fail" doesn't seem to be adequate.

On the positive side, here's one more data point.  The wee hours are for sleeping.  Other than abominable post-Covid flight schedules, the odds of me getting caught up in a 3:30 AM fracas are pretty much nil.  On Soi 11 at 3:30, less than zero.  Unless the airport taxi makes a wrong turn.

But they are quite happy for foreigners to come across them, a redeeming quality.

I guess you only read the headline.

The Thai group assembled in response to an incident on March 5, where a Thai ladyboy was assaulted and robbed by a group of about 20 Filipino ladyboys.

The footage on social media taken in the road opposite the subsoi entrance and the interaction at the restaurant further up suggests turf war to me - the Thai side are hardly going to come out and say that.
