I'd be more interested in what they earned??? 🤔

Chip - I expect there are some other matters that I understand better than you but if you have do something to divulge, please do so. It would be more helpful.

Just a dig takes the thread nowhere . . . .

Too many foreigners that think they can do what they want in a foreign country. Just deport the ones not following the rules.

I never really understand the ones who are doing work in public places with jobs reserved for Thais (I believe these would be but could be wrong)

Like I know a Ukrainian dude doing floor tiling, he knows he shouldn't be but he still does it but at least it's inside someone's private home not in a bar

You are right they shouldn't be working, but there is another reason why a night club would employ farangs, It attracts other farangs, over the years here were I live any bar run and owned by a Thai doesn't last 5 minutes,

Farangs tend to go in Farang owned bars,

Possibly because Farang DJs know how to mix the music to Farang tastes?

Just a guess

There seems to be, yes. I think it all started just after the story of a Thai doctor being thumped in the back.

You are only calling them scum and screaming for deportation because you have assumed they were white and straight,  if they had  been identified as black or LGBGT you would have remained silent.

At least the bar owners/managers are now being arrested too.

Link:

Both of them were unable to present legal work permits. They were taken to the Ao Nang Police Station to face charges of working without permission.

Additionally, a Thai woman identified only as Ms. Warinthorn was presented as the club manager. She allegedly admitted to officers that the night club was illegally opened also. She was taken to the Ao Nang Police Station to face charges of opening an entertainment venue without legal permission

I had the experience of a job offer with the business owner claiming he had connection and didn’t need a work visa ; declined offer. Likely many fall for BS

A few bars here in Pattaya have English managers, how do they get a Work Permit for doing that ?

  • Popular Post

Revoke visas, deport them. Time for farangs, even self important and arrogant Brits to recognise that Thai is an independent country with its own laws that should be inspected and not part of the Empire where they can do whatever they want.

I am a tolerant man for people who don't break local laws, but intolerant of the mob who flout local laws. Desert them.

Wow. But for interrogating illegal workers, and investigations, even in “someone's private home”, you might need a WP. About “whistleblowing”, I'm not sure. It depends on the amount of the “cases”, I guess.

At a guess I would say that it was possibly the Drum & Base night that I've seen promoted on one of the Ao Nang facebook pages over the last month or so?  That genre of music being common with their age group.

If the tunes they were banging out was good then I would have left them alone. If it was anything like that Thai karaoke then I certainly would evict them….

curious if it was someone famous would there be such a fuss about it? Most likely not!
