Hopefully there will be no banned words. The audience is not children. Let the profanities and obscenities flow freely.

This is NOT an adult only age restricted site nor is it listed as such so no, that wont be happening.

I don't think you will have anything to worry about, I have always found them to be fairminded.

Let’s hope for headlines to have some semblance to the ensuing article content in the future… Good luck… 🙏🏻

Are the mods changing?

Will the self appointed, not official, moderators, still be moderating content they don't like?

Much like certain stadiums, ThaiVisa will never change names

You mean like ThaiVisa will never change it's name to AseanNow?

ThaigerTalk - the forum of The Thaiger - is dedicated to Free Speech with little to no moderation.  Only when members report breaches/complaints a Moderator will look at the case and make a fair decision with TT's Free Speech policy as over-riding principle.

Will be interesting to see how that will affect AseanNow's current moderation approach.

No moderation unless someone complains?  Let's see if that's true.

A review from Trustpilot:

"Thaiger, in many cases, simply opines and pastes articles, as it gleams them from the world presses without sighting sources; plagiarism at its finest."  https://www.trustpilot.com/review/thethaiger.com

Yes, on ThaigerTalk you can trash Trump or Biden without any moderator interference.  Free Speech also pertains to speech you don't like.  And of course it results in interesting discussions as well as mud-slinging.

I was talking about Truth Social so your reply is disingenuous.

It's impossible to have sincere discussions with Trump cult members (similar to Putin Z bots).

Similar to biden cult members as well!

Well, in addition use clear names? With address and phone number? And a recent taken photo?

Splendid idea, isn't it?

Not haters anymore, no gutter language, no proof of stupidity.

Feels like heaven will come😂🤣🥳🤗

This is my picture from when it was Thai Visa.  Is that recent enough?

At least one thing won't change, very odd use of English in news reports.

I thought the best was " The Serene Bay of Pattaya"  Now Serene keeps popping up in many other places that are the complete opposite to Serene.  And then we have very bad Translations.

Not in the slightest. Biden doesn't have a cult. He's a normal president.

Why is it scary? It’s an internet news site and chat forum. It’s not like it’s an integral part of anyone’s life

Judging by the huge numbers of posts by some posters, I would say you are wrong about the forum not being an integral part of anyone's life.

I dare say that there are some who post here, who, not long ago, had more posts in one month, than I had in the entire 14 years and 4 months that I have been a member!

I am absolutely thrilled to have two of the greatest forums , not just in Thailand but worldwide !  ... joining forces, mods holding hands and doing sacred rituals to enhance their powers of perception of good and evil ( posts ) .

Seriously ,  for an old, bitter man like myself......prone to outbursts of" NOT SO !  RED BULL ! " and other tin hat theories that have no place in a free world .... This will be a blessing .   No longer will i need to put energy into two different media

legends to receive that vaunted vacation to solitude island . NO sir .   Now,  just one "misinformation"  required to be given a firm reminder .

NOTE:  To start off the new "union" ...... all members shall be required to undergo a .....uh..... little quiz ( for placement purposes only) .   All will be given this Rumak post to read and then answer a simple question :     Was it  a.  inspiring and honest    b.  typical far rght Trump hogwash   c. slightly tongue=in=cheek       d.  duh  ( emoji, emoji )

disclaimer:   i have yet to peruse the new rules and guidelines ,  but i am sure they will be just as fair and impartial as they have always been .   Viva la union !    Onward thru the fog..... and may all hold their members high in the glory of a new chapter for mankind.

Oh, but he does.  And he is not normal.  But then, is any leader of any country a normal person?

Is this to be a merger of the two forums, if so, folks will have two or "more" usernames.

How will that be sorted as it is against TVF forum rules....🤗

So what's the plan?

Will the server get an overhaul? It really is very slow.

Will there be a rebranding? ThaiVisa was generally well-regarded while I think the rebranding to ASEANNow didn't work out so well and has been fraught with technical issues.

What about moderation? Will this be a place where jokers are encouraged? Will the moderation be heavy-handed? Will it be a place for freedom of speech?

Or will it just be more of the same....?

After a certain change in the not too distant past, I would say that the mods on AN/TV have been handling things very well.

BANGKOK: -- We have some fantastic news to share with all of you today!

ASEANNOW has officially joined The Thaiger family, following the acquisition of all our digital assets by The Thaiger from Choice Group Asia Co., Ltd.

This marks a significant milestone as we combine forces with one of Thailand’s top English language news publishers.

This new chapter is not just about growth; it’s about enhancing the experience for all our forum members and readers.

Darren Lyons, CEO of The Thaiger, shared his thoughts about the acquisition: “We’ve always held ASEAN NOW in high regard, particularly during its days as Thai Visa. The synergies between our platforms are clear, and we’re excited to start working together with ASEAN NOW's team to drive forward innovations and improvements across the board.”

George Anderssen, ASEAN NOW's COO, commented on the opportunities ahead: “This is a thrilling time for ASEAN NOW. With the increased emphasis on forums by search engines like Google, our platform's growth is accelerating even faster. We’re ready to leverage this momentum and achieve new heights.”

In response to recent discussions, we want to assure our community that our core team and moderators will continue to be an integral part of ASEANNOW. The Thaiger is committed to enhancing site speed, evolving our news style, expanding our social media activities, increasing video content, and above all, enriching your experience on our platform.

Thank you for being such a vital part of ASEAN NOW. We are excited to embark on this journey together and look forward to what we can achieve as part of The Thaiger family.

Then, does this statement mean that the forum will become, once again, Thai Visa, and soar higher, and higher, like the mythical Phoenix?

I always thought tiger was spoof platform going to great lengths to print headers that have sfa to do with the article...I hope someone is laughing all the way to the bank

Maybe you will be more free to express your views without fear of a ban by the tyranical moderators in the current system, after all a forum is all about free speech isnt it?

I hope something will be done about the keyboard warriors, there's nothing worse than people insulting you from hidind behind their keyboards.
