What is the attraction with crumbling cheese? I don't eat any Brit cheeses, as they are not tasteful in my opinion, but when my Gouda or Edammer start to crumble i throw them in the bin

I find them very tasty too.

Bought some earlier this week, First time I've seen it, slightly stronger than Mainland Vintage, and a tad less crumbly. At 190bht for 500g it's very good value for money, well it would be if I didn't like eating it so much. Different shape pack to Mainland, thinner and longer/wider.

Was there (Jartisaan Cheeserie) last week with several friends, had lunch (everything was very good), and bought some of the cheese that they made. Took us a while to find the place but well worth the visit.

However, a small chunk (200g ?) cost over 200 baht. The Gecko Garden on Sridonchai Road near Pantip Plaza has several excellent cheeses for sale as well as real butter (from New Zealand I think), and coldcuts at very attractive prices. They have a crumbly English cheddar, very sharp and very tasty, for about 400 baht per kilo. They sell gouda and feta cheese also. I had eaten there once in while over the years but since I learned they also sell cheese and butter, I always buy those items there. The same cheese at Makro for 279 baht but then 470gr or Aro house brand slighty cheaper sometimes, but same cheeses as Mainland
November 8, 20241 yr Last weekend Big C, Panthip Plaza, Night bazaar had all the Mainland varieties including Vintage on half price special. 250 gram blocks for 119.50 baht. Had a fair supply of each variety. Don't know if the offer is still on or if they have any left.
November 8, 20241 yr Is there a Villa Market there? Villa had the best cheese selection that I had seen in Bangkok.

Vintage aged cheddar is the most tasty, also crumbly, as water is released during the aging process. Tasty is softer, younger. Jartisan cheeses are not sold in Makro. Central Group outlets, eg Tops, GoWholesale, stock their varieties.
