On the night of June 12th, local authorities in Pattaya carried out inspections at entertainment venues across the city, finding no illegal activities. The raid was initiated by the Pattaya Police Chief, Pol. Col. Navin Teerawit. This operation's objective was to deter crime, ensuring the safety of tourists and local inhabitants in Pattaya.

As part of the sweep, police officers formed teams to check various establishments. During their visit to a nightclub called "Yes Pattaya," they found a large crowd partying inside at about 2:30 A.M. The police ordered the nightclub to stop all activities, turn down the music, and switch on the lights. They then proceeded to verify IDs and administer drug urine tests to all customers and employees present. No one was found to be underage or had illegal substances in their body. The officers also searched the vehicles of customers parked outside the venue, finding no illegal items. Such law enforcement activities are deemed lawful in Thailand.

The inspections were also conducted at other nightlife venues, with no signs of illegal activities uncovered. Nevertheless, all establishments were instructed to shut down for the night since it was beyond legal closing hours.

These inspections have been part of a series of checks over the past week and a half, primarily aiming at Thai-focused nightclubs.

That's great news. I guess it's time to demolish the Pattaya police station and let all those officers go home. There is just nothing to do for them. 😉

Oh Yeah! Not a sign of prostitution!

No prostitution, not open after closing time, and surely no illegal substances in the bodies....while in almost everywhere in the world drugs and parties go hand in hand. In Thailand envelopes do that so nothing illegal

Of course there were no signs of illegal activity! How could there be such a thing in the most family friendly tourist venue in the country!

Plenty of brown envelopes exchanged......🙃

I thought it was 4am closing? On my insomniac travels I drive up Walking Street after 4am and it's heaving with chucking out time punters.

I am not surprised, if the picture is anything to go by, they also had no custom so illegal activities unlikely.

Well I guess that's needed in Pattaya... with all the trash bars and questionable people.

can you imagine a quality tourist with wife and family sitting at a table having a meal or drink then being questioned by police... would be the last time in Thailand.

Oh please!!

There's prostitution every where in Thailand.  Are you f blind?

That's practically the only way to make a living considering there's practically no work that pays more than 300 baht a day,if you can even find work outside of rice season.

It should be legal.  Sex shouldn't be a crime.

Weren't the closing hours changed in some areas a few months ago?

At 2am ? I would imagine that any prostitute still available at 2 am is either 70KG up, related to Cinderella, or is back for a refill and the cops felt sorry for them

Have they come up with a special licence to stick on the wall along with the several others then?

You probably oversimplify the prostitution issue. But what should be illegal is to pay someone 300 Baht a day. Even twice that amount wouldn't reach the subsistence level.

In most of Issan it's 250 baht if you can even find work.

It's constant battle to find enough food, clothe and feed your kids, etc.

What !!! 🙈

Ok, everyone feels so safe now. One night out of several years they had to close.

Must have been tough to stay up so late after they drove up road to their own Thai club drinking then hitting the road drunk themselves.
