Thaksin's Indictment Could be Delayed Again Due to Hospitalisation

Warong Dechgitvigrom, chairman of the Thai Pakdee Party, has suggested that former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra might use illness as a reason to avoid facing indictment in a lese majeste case.

According to Warong's Facebook post on Sunday, he received information from a reliable source that Thaksin was hospitalized on Saturday night.

Warong speculated that Thaksin's hospital stay could serve as grounds for him not reporting to public prosecutors on Tuesday, when he is scheduled to appear in the Criminal Court for arraignment in the lese majeste case.

The Office of the Attorney-General has ordered Thaksin to appear in court on Tuesday over alleged remarks made in a 2015 interview with a South Korean newspaper in Seoul. Warong stated, "I received information from a reliable source that Thaksin was hospitalized last night.

Therefore, I wish to inform the public. The source informed me this morning that Thaksin was hospitalized last night [Saturday]. It remains unclear how long he will remain in the hospital, but I believe this is related to his impending indictment on June 18."

On May 29, Thaksin failed to report to prosecutors, citing a Covid-19 infection, which led the attorney-general to postpone his indictment to June 18.

"Although the appointment is scheduled for June 18, he has been hospitalized. This indicates that he intends to avoid indictment and will certainly not appear, citing his hospitalization," alleged Warong.

Here we go, from Dubai to hospital bed to evade prison, to gallivanting around the country, back to hospital bed to evade court hearing..

  • Could there be even a single person in Thailand  who buys the ongoing sick story?   The only buyers seem to be the lap dog media...

I am happy when my Thai taxes are used to give him a simple room like above and feed him with rice. There is a special old mature rice promotion going on in the moment. Perfect.

With all that money they need to hire a better strategist, these guys are on the back foot with every play.

Poking at the hornets nest is not going to end well and you can't hide on "holy ground" every time.

That said, thoughts and prayers.

I would laugh if it weren't so disgusting, and sad, for the Thai people.   🙄 🤢😭

I'm no doctor but I think I can diagnoze his medical condition : he is allergic. Allergic to... (you got it too, isn't it ?) 😁

So, the haters out in force yet again ...

Ever occur to them to attack the appalling judicial system that is used by the dinosaurs to trip up anyone at all who represents a threat to the reign of the dinosaurs?

Like I told my wife a couple of years ago, I've given up all hope for Thailand, she's still an optimist .....which is why we are still here.

How convenient again, just 1-2 days before he should turn up in court. Wonder why, as he already gone out with that he had no worries at all regarding this case.

Surely, all that Srettha and Thaksin are doing is the same as the Red Bull heir.

What was it, he avoided 4 or 5 hearings before he did a runner?

Ok, seems to me that we are talking about an old Allosaurus, then.
