Popular Post webfact
In a decisive move, the Police Commission unanimously voted, 12-0, to approve the dismissal of Deputy Police Chief Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn. This endorsement follows Acting National Police Chief Pol Gen Kitrat Phanphet's contentious removal order. The heated discussion lasted two hours, ignited by the Council of State, the government’s legal advisor, which had questioned the legitimacy of Surachate’s dismissal. Yesterday, Surachate appealed to the recently-reinstated National Police Chief Pol Gen Torsak Sukvimol to overturn the April 18th dismissal order. This order accused him of colluding in a money laundering scheme linked to the BNK Master online gambling network. On the same day, Pol Gen Kitrat had both transferred Surachate back to the Royal Thai Police from the Prime Minister’s Office and then issued the dismissal. This back-and-forth stemmed from conflicts between Surachate and Torsak, which had initially led to their transfer by Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin in March. Emerging from today’s meeting, the Prime Minister indicated that the Police Commission Secretary-General would provide a detailed briefing. Surachate, holding his ground, has vowed to fight for reinstatement as deputy police chief - a position crucial for his ascension to police chief, given his seniority. He has also threatened legal action against key figures, including the Prime Minister, Pol Gen Kitrat, Pol Gen Torsak, and retired Deputy Police Chief Pol Gen Winai Thongsong if his reinstatement is not achieved. The fallout from today’s decision will undoubtedly continue to ripple through the police department, promising further developments in this high-stakes administrative and legal battle. Popular Post Ironmike
The immigration was much better when he was in charge, I just recently returned on a visa issued by an agency and the problems I had in Bangkok because of this visa were amazing they wanted me to pay them 5000 baht and then nothing would be wrong until I said I was going to walk back into the main hall and start yelling to people to video my problems then amazingly enough I was told to come down and suddenly nothing was wrong with the visa and I was sent on my way,, this corruption is so wide spread now that Taksins is back it needs to stop. 1 4 1 2

The evidence free accusation has becmne the weapon of choice against honest men. Think of Assange...accused by Swedish women that he raped them. But they dropped out after the UK had nabbed him and stuck him in jail. I am very sad about this guy.....he seemed competent and honest....but appearances deceive. I feel I have been naive believing in him....but the kangaroo court which I didn't see is not full of honest men now is it? 1 1 1

You buy your promotions in a secret auction. Lower members are given targets of how much they must collect and pass up the chain. Everyone has a target they must pass up the chain of command, over and above that target they can keep. If you don't play their game you don't get promoted. Aspiring district chiefs often bid half a million dollars or more for the top job. The numbers involved are vast. The problem is this guy knows all the dirt on everyone, he's more than likely to have been told go quietly and you can keep your ill-gotten gains, but he isn't going quietly or easily, it's a big problem for all the seniors, I am surprised he is still alive, IMHO he must have spread the dirt with lawyers to be released on his untimely death. Popular Post bamnutsak
12-nil Not a good score for the Hapkarn side. This is his third brush with banishment, and his connection to Thaksin (Hapkarn's father was the family driver for Potjamon's family), and Prawit (his godfather/)sponsor are weaker than Big Tor (whose brother is the King's Personal Private Secretary and head of the Crown Property Bureau (as well as an RTAF ACM). Will Hapkarn rise again? Probably? Maybe? In his last year of eligibility for the top job. He always claims he knows where the bodies are buried but he never delivers on those threats. Which indicates he may not be super-clean himself. 1
