I often do this ,because, other then peeing your pants or paying for one of these rip off beer bar toilets, that's the only option. It's a pee in the ocean ,literally.

And as far as pissing in the water - who cares? people do it all the time, just in the water and not out. Fun fact: the smell of chlorine in public pools is not actualy chlorine which is odorless - it is the smell of piss in the water - even a little goes a long way to get that familiar scent.

There is a Thai singing TV program my Mrs watches each evening as I sit there. It seems to specialize in inviting foreigners who have lived here a while, who can often speak good Thai, and they are required to stand there and tell everyone how wonderful Thailand and the Thai people are... it really exceeds the need to be obsequious and fawning. They need their guests to be like that, and spend a lot of money too!
