Yeah, those idiots who own at Hiso Northshore must be having a blast.

As mentioned, it is the land of noise in a party town.  They could careless about what people think.  Don't worry, it should only go on for another week.

City council in Pattaya turn

a blind eye to any money making scheme regardless of traffic chaois or loud noise disturbing residents.

No regard for Pattaya's quality of life tourist income is priority.

No disrespect but they don't care.  Ten of thousands of tourist or guest far outweigh the concerns of a few.  The amount of money these events bring to the city is immense.

I stayed in Pattaya this year for Christmas and New Years and now remember why I went to some rural area with mountains for every year post covid.

Thailand can be a very noisy place and there's absolutely nothing that you can do about it, except to change your location. If you find where you are to be too noisy, if I were in your position I would change my room, perhaps get a room facing away from the beach or even shift hotels.

That is totally within your power. Or you could do nothing and just continue to complain and grin and bear it.

I live very near the beach/Hilton.  As most know they have set up for the big holiday party with stages for the entertainers and massive sound systems.

The noise is almost unbearable...it went on off and on most of sunday at very loud volumes.  On sunday night it was still super loud with lot of rap/hiphop type "music"...this went on til after midnight last night.

If that was not enough it started up again at 6;30 am this morning, monday, louder than ever.  It is now almost 8 am and still going strong.  They seem to be testing the system or just playing it for their own amusement.

Of course this is basically across the street from the soi 9 police station whose windows no doubt are vibrating from the noise.

And yet obviously there is no effort to wallk across the street and tell those idiots to cut it out.  Surely there must be some rules/law against this?  Maybe the cops are too busy setting up to hand out tickets to passing motobikes to notice?

Yes I know TIT but even here is it really necessary to start it up at 6;30 am no doubt waking up thousands of people who live or stay in hotels anywhere near the beach?

There is a "noise" law from 1954(?), but without mentioning limits of Dezibel. (As far as I know). So very difficult for police to interfere

The OP is stupidity. Move to an area known to be noisy then complain about it.

Master troll.

Like people who buy houses  close to Airports or night clubs

Australia NSW has just implemented a Law from 2025 that if you move or buy to any of these established places Nightclubs, pubs etc and they were there BEFORE you ,you can't complain

Thailand can be a very noisy place. I'm afraid very few people here are going to feel sorry for you. Perhaps best to move on asap.

I guess your going too soon.

You said you were nearly 80

Thais don't hear noise.

And their right to make it is greater than the right to peace and quiet from us 'normal' members of society.

Sounds like a report from upcountry village 😁

Some don't get the joke.

And 6:30 AM is a civilized time in a rural village to start the noise.

Be it from the village head, be it from the temple, be it from a wedding party, ...

At this time of year there is peak season for family events.

We have invitations for three wedding parties.

Have you tried going into the hotel and having a polite word with the manager? Plenty of hotels have managers who may understand that this is not great to for their guests or local residents and make sure its not so early again. It’s worth talking to them without an emotion.

wow sorry that  describing  absurdly loud music on one morning at 6;30 am seems to rattle so many cages and call for me to stop whining....i have lived here a long time, in a condo and not a hotel, (and my room does face away from beach which means the music was being played exceptionally loud)  and certainly understand that it will be noisy on new years eve and other big events none of which start at 6;30 am.......but 6;30 to 8 am with hardly anyone on the beach and a few guys decide to test the massive speakers at the crack of dawn for their amusement is not exactly normal.  In fact this is first time ever that i remember for that.

I would have agreed....... "Thais don't hear noise"....then saw a recent survey, and noise/loud music was number three on their list of things that detract from their quality of life??????....who would have thought?
