Nationality isn't defined by skin color. It's defined by the passport.

Well spotted. Now we know why most Thai criminals are repeat offenders.

IF they have British passports, they ARE British (whatever color!)

While the law may prevent bigger fines being handed out, surely they can easily revoke their visas?

And today’s award for the most ignorant, toxic, racist post goes to…….

FYI if they hold British passports then they are British.

Aren’t you gonna be late for your KKK meeting?

Another woke indoctrinated lefty..If it's defined by the passport, what if they have 2 or 3 passports which most of these so called Brits have. They are not, never have been and never will be British...you obviously have no idea about what being British is

You are on the mark at the moment. Coming myself from not too far from London I think those numbers will be reversed in the not too distant future. Those numbers are already reversed in a large number of towns and cities in the UK.

Idiots discussing British-ness based on skin color, This thread has turned into a racists support group.

Many non light skinned British benefit from being dual nationals. Just select the passport that is most beneficial.

Perhaps by you, but not by me.

Remigration will sort it all out eventually.

There appears to be a backlash against the amounts of immigrants and these groups not integrating into British society and way of life.

Why is it only white countries that should be the beneficiaries from multi-culturism and ethnic diversity, yet the very places these people come from are black only, Asian only etc.?

No-one seems to be able to give me an answer to that one.

Thailand for the Thais and Britain for the British. It's that simple.

It's that simple if you're that simple.

So the Thais are simple for keeping their country ethnically Thai?

Interesting.

I have tri nationality, what does that make me???

Multi-national. It's perfectly acceptably to have more than one nationality - IF those countries have provision for this (such as dual citizenship agreements) and you meet the specific requirements.

Even if someone doesn't, then individuals can still identify with multiple cultures (such as the country of their birth or their parents' origin), but they can have NATIONALITY only for those where they have (or retain) citizenship - and by implication eligibility for a passport.

Nationality: the official right to belong to a particular country.  :coffee1:

If the alleged felon with the dark skin holds a British passport, then he is a British national.

British, Namibian and Irish citizenship...what nationality am I...???

I thought I answered that question.

But I'll help you out: British, Namibian and Irish.

But do I deserve these citizenships, I have never even been to one of the countries...you see how stupid it is defining someone by their passport

Maybe not, but that's a different question and not relevant. You're confusing nationality with identity.

Nationality is very clear cut and just needs a piece of paper. At the risk of introducing a pun; it's "black or white". Being black-skinned doesn't disqualify someone from citizenship.

The middle cop has the best answer and may well be packing a plastic bag for dissenter's 🤔

These charges include reckless driving causing injury and property damage, which carries penalties of up to one month in prison or a 10,000 baht fine, and carrying a weapon in a public space, punishable by a 100 baht fine.

well, that will teach them.

French?

It's one thing Thailand's new government being scared to have negative publicity that would effect tourism, it's another though to be so lenient for fear of those headlines, that you actually garner headlines for awful behaviour of tourists.

These tourists would not behave like this in Dubai, Singapore, Malaysia or even China. They feel embolded to behave this terrible way because they fear no consequences.

Looking at the possible punishments for carrying a knife, threatening to stab that is an absolute joke and too soft.

There are people who pay money to enjoy a holiday, and these people spoil it for them with their behaviour - there are plenty of others like them, especially the Benidorm chavy cheap Brits and draft dodging Russians.

I'm shocked to realise they aren't even automatically deported.

Thailand for the Thais and Britain for the British. It's that simple.

India is full of immigrants from Bangladesh, Myanmar and Nepal.

Thailand itself is full of immigrants from Myanmar.

Nigeria is struggling to cope with immigrants from Chad, Cameroon and other states.

South Africa is a magnet for immigrants from around Africa.

China itself is full of immigrants from North Korea.

Every country has immigration problems. Be it America with Mexico etc.

The problem many European countries have is that the invaded most of these countries. Then used them to help them during the two world wars (go see how many INdians died defending your way of life), then further needed man power to help rebuild their countries.

One thing that there will always be is racist Brits in Thailand - usually in Pattaya.
