All venues are for sale if you can find the owner, just depends what your bid is.

Assuming the Pattaya go go bar scene has seen better days and that the business model is no longer what it was, where did they move it to? Where is nirvana?

I'm not sure what the correct terminology might be, but  to me, it seems like there's always a place in the world that's just the right place, but they move it around from time to time.  Given that, where is it now? I guarantee you it's somewhere.

The Windmill model works very well, usually bursting with girls and customers

A laundromat that serves beer while cleaning your clothing, interesting concept. I like it.

They do exist, I went to one in New Oleans

I wasn't thinking so much about an isolated example, but rather an entire "scene."  You know it when you're there.

Strangely, Bamboo which is very popular with the elderly gets them to pay first

It's a UK thing.

When we buy our beer in pubs or nightclubs you pay as you go.

Cafes too, go to the counter, order pay and go sit down.

Even curry shops, or is the famous Friday night late run still a thing?

Wrong question.

You don't want to know where it is now ........... you want to know where it will be tomorrow.

Might be fun to run one "interviewing" the girls  but hard to make money. A friend of mine told me that his bar in Pattaya cost B3000 a day to operate. So if you make B10 on a bottle of beer you need to sell 300 before you can slide any cash in your pocket. That was 15 years ago.

The right bar in the right location can make more money than the owners can count every day.  I'm sure there are some bars on Bangla Road in Patong Beach that fit description.

On the other hand, you have to wonder what some people are thinking when they open some of the bars scattered around town.  Some of the beer bar complexes are mind boggling. One bar after another. And someone comes along and they think they've got the secret formula?

Most bars if they have "girls for rent" have money from lady drinks and a % of the barfines

Igor's bar, restaurant and laundromat on St. Charles Avenue. Great spot!

I see that Atlantic Bar, on 2nd Road opposite Central Marina, is cleared out and the plot up for sale/rent.

18 months since I was last in there. I am sure many residents on here have happy memories of the place.

New Years Eve, was their last day of trading.

How do those bars up near Rompho markets survive ?

I was there on a weekday night in October and most seemed busy.

Jomtien Soi 7, however, looked woefully short of customers and pretty girls.
