Well duh I don't disagree with that. Name rank and  serial number

Good......except that I replied to a post of yours which said  "I always fill out government forms accurately and completely"

So if it asks for your inside leg measurement........?

Do make your mind up mate 🤔

  • Seeing that you have a re-entry permit, you have a temporary permission to stay in Thailand and therefore Thailand is, for immigration purposes, not your country of residence.   In your case

  • Will Iam Not
    Will Iam Not

What are you on about. Country of Residence is where you live, in my case Thailand. Earlier in the application you already put your Nationality and Passport number.

Depends if there's the asterisk or not

Own experience with TDAC: filled in last week, as residency (I have a retirement extension) used Thailand (some people say it is not there but it is listed as 'The Kingdom of Thailand'). Only need to fill in fields with an asterisk.

Submitted and prepared to wait for an hour but it came back as approved with a QR within two minutes.

Last Monday the OPs at Suvanabhumi were actually checking if people had the QR (on their phone or as a print-out) but they did not appear to do anything  with it. It should be on their computer anyway, but make a screen print when you receive the QR code. Of the 7 persons in front of me at immigration, two did not have a QR and after a lot of arguing they were send back to the machines to get one. This causes quite some delays but above the immigration booths there are big signs listing the requirements: passport, boarding pass, completed TDAC and e-visa (the latter if applicable).

All in all TDAC is not a big deal and you can fill it in in a couple of minutes if you keep details of your flight (number) and accommodation etc at hand.

In my opinion, it's always worth having printouts of everything you mention, plus tickets, in your hand baggage, easily accessible. It takes so little time to prepare and might save you time and hassle - if not - little is lost.

^^ Reckon it’s worth printing out tdac in case phone goes dead or decides to fall out of one’s pocket.

Windows 11, Chrome browser.

I cannot insert the Accommodation Information, but I can proceed to the subsequent pages nonetheless, submit, and get the TDAC PDF file with the QR code. I tried yesterday and again today. Does anyone else see the same?

I am flying to Bangkok tomorrow, arriving on Thursday and shall see what immigration will do.

It seems you are leaving Thailand the same day as you arrive; thus, no need for accommodation. Try to leave the fields for departure empty.

You are arriving on EK370 and departing on EK370..... on the same day.

Departure fields are not marked with a red asterix.... information not mandatory..... Try again leaving departure fields blank.

Thank you, Ralf001, for having taken the time to explain it in such great detail.

Got it. I messed it up big time, thinking that they want departure and arrival of the second leg of my trip, ie the flight from Dubai to Bangkok. My brain must be going soft. Now, after reading your post, they mean arrival (compulsory) in and departure (optional) from Bangkok. I'm going to update it now.

I think that in Chrome on the PC the details for the departure flight from Bangkok are marked with red asterisks, but perhaps not so in another browser. I'll pay attention to it and if on my monitor it does not show as compulsory, I shall leave it blank.

My screen shot, is chrome on a PC.

Done and dusted.

I can confirm that also with Chrome, the departure information is not compulsory.

It was my intention from the start to fill in only the compulsory fields and for example deliberately left out the visa number, but as I dragged on I did not pay enough attention and mistakenly filled in the departure section (and wrongly, to boot)

Good to hear it is sorted, enjoy your holiday.

i apologize if this question was already answered, but it's not easy to surf hundreds of old messages , so I go:

I have a 1 year retirement visa and a valid re-entry permit. Now i am outside Thailand but i am returning in a couple of days.

I need to fill the Digit card on arrival.

What visa number do I need to write ?

I don't see any number in my 1 year extension . I can see a handwritten number in my re-entry stamp, but i am not sure i have to write that number as visa number.

Do i have to leave it blank ?  I don't have a return ticket either, since I don't have plans on when i ll leave next time (i renew the visa every year).

Question #2:  Do i need to print it and keep a paper copy ?

Thank you in advance.

1) Don't wait...Fill it in now online..you will receive a QR code back within a few minutes. Just keep it on your phone, no need to print it out and also probably the IO will not need to see it as all info is on his terminal already from your TDAC.

2) Leave the Visa nbr blank, not required.

3)Don't need a return ticket with your one year Visa/Extension.

Welcome home.

You can leave visa number blank, don't worry about it. Only the fields with a red asterisk are mandatory, visa number is not mandatory so just leave it.

And no need to print it. They'll email you a QR code, it's worth keeping this handy on your phone but I have never heard of anyone being asked for it.

Yes, it must be completed for each arrival.

It is not needed anymore. No check when I arrived in Phuket yesterday. Nobody in the imigration line had even heard about it. Another Thai pie in the sky.

I've entered several times and never been checked as it's not necessary, the IO can see if you've done it on his system. As for the clueless people in line, they must all live under the same rock.

Arrived from where?

Upnotover beat me to the rest of what I was going to post.

In a week's time, I will be returning to Thailand for the first time since the Digital Arrival Card has been in existence.

I live in Thailand on a Non O marriage extension so what "Purpose" should I select from the drop down menu?

There is no "Family" option.

Thanks in advance.

Tourism - no need to over think it.

It is already on their computer, you do not need to show

How about the thousand, or so, Russian tourists in the immigration line?  Not one of them was asked for an arrival QR code.

Maybe you live under a rock, because nobody was asked for a QR code, not expats nor the tourists in the line. Some friendly lady saw the Arrival Card poster and asked me about it. I told her not to worry about it, and she entered without being asked for it. As I said earlier, another pie in the sky.

They had not filled it in previously?

You only get asked for the TDAC QR code if you HAVEN'T filed it online. Your Russians had obviously done it online already.

If you have filed online, they don't ask or even mention it because it's already on their systems.

If you have not done it online, you will be sent to the back of the class where they have tablets set up to do it.
