Tourist Police officers in Phuket have arrested a 28-year-old Russian woman on charges related to prostitution, following a raid at a hotel in the city centre.

The operation was conducted under the direction of Pol. Lt. Gen. Saksira Phueak-am, Commissioner of the Tourist Police Bureau, as part of an ongoing crackdown on crimes affecting tourism and offences committed by foreign nationals.

The arrest was carried out on 24 April by a team led by Pol. Lt. Col. Pithaya Thep-mueang from the Tourist Police Division 3, along with investigators from the same division. The suspect was apprehended in her hotel room while allegedly engaging in illegal sex work.

The woman has been charged under Thailand’s Prevention and Suppression of Prostitution Act, with police stating she had solicited clients in a manner considered overt, inappropriate, and disruptive to the public.

Authorities confirmed that she was taken into custody and will face legal proceedings in accordance with the law.

According to several news articles Thais are never arrested.

So, did the police just go into her room whilst she was entertaining a client?

That is taking coitus interruptus to a brand new level.

How could they find her?

Tipped off by the hotel?!

Wouldn't recommend that place.

Whom was she with?

No word about that.

One attraction less in Phuket 😱

I would guess a sting op.  And, I'm sure she was 'operating' in the same manner as the women in Kuala Lumpur do.  They target a man who is seemingly alone, approach, complement, chat him up a bit and then asks if he'd like some company... 1 thing leads to another with a negotiated price.

Cute. If she is smart enough she should sue the <deleted> out of them. I used to know a guy helping against this primitive extortionists in BKK.

Undercover policeman? It's a dirty job but, someone has to do it. 😀

Absolutely... under the service providers section.

The sticky-fingered cops literally wanted sticky fingers :shock1:

The cop on far right looks like he was behind her when she farted, the other one next to her looks like he scored

I heard a rumour that 47 different police officers investigated this women over the last 2 months before deciding they had enough evidence to arrest.

Nothing revolutionary about any of that.

You must hate women.

Why that😳

Though prostitution is not technically legal in Thailand I can't remember the last time I've heard of a Thai woman being arrested for it, and neither should they be.

She obviously pissed somebody off or perhaps it was a hotel clerk getting in the good favor of the local cops, and maybe even sharing in the bribe she was likely forced to pay. Nonetheless the arrest should not have happened and it likely just happened because she's taking business away from a local gal, which is very petty, and very unbecoming of the cops.

Occupation: "Prostitute"?

I mean finding her in flagrante(?) is hardly a police investigation success.

Someone must have sent them there.

They have to arrest one now and again, one of the thousands operating here for years, good work

How many weeks of under( the) cover work did it take to catch her?
