Wow.....was not expecting that!

Anyone seen any tanks rolling into BKK?

Are you saying it was a surprise the Kangaroo Court maintained Thailand's status as a Banana Republic?

Not really a kangaroo court as they made the right decision.

........ Unless you want to tell us she wasn't dishonest?

My first visit to Thailand was in 2004. I had read up on the country a bit and thought it was good to finally see an elected PM, then a re-elected PM.  On the surface it seemed that the cycle of military coups was finally ending.

absolute nonsense - your first comment about "right decision" is an oxymoron and how do you consider her statement to be "dishonest?

There will be no coup.

The WEF won't allow it this time.

In a surprising yet decisive move, Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, boldly declared his readiness to become Thailand’s Prime Minister, a role he’s claimed preparedness for since 2019. With confident assurances, Anutin announced his plan to form a special government tasked with steering the nation forward, designed to operate for four months following a policy declaration. This strategy comes with the backing and conditions set by the People's Party as crucial collaborators.

Will the Constitutional Court now turn its attention to "ethics breaches" by other government ministers, other elected politicians, and senior government bureaucrats?

As for them as I understand it they are out now. PM steps down in this case also means the whole cabinet. Which means the idiot health minister Somsak is out.

Dishonest,

1 Pretending to be pm

2 appointing herself minister so she could still play when removed as pm

3 going back on her deal with Anutin over cannabis

In fact I'd say dissolving the entire cabinet was just done to invalidate her move 2.

And if she hadn't gone back on 3, she'd probably still be pm

What was dishonest was suspending her to begin with.

Be ready to get MASKED

That has happened, albeit covertly. Anutin will be levered into the post. The gentle downward economic spiral will continue; but it doesn't matter because the "right people" have re-established control.

60/500: solid popular support!

She and her dad are now disliked, disrespected, dishonored and disavowed. They are pariahs. Which is a great thing. They richly deserve that.

That wasn't such a chore now was it?!

Create a border incident.

The standing PM makes a phone call to the Cambodian leader. Tape it. Release it. Make sure ultra nationalists and yellows get a group howl going. Spotlight coverage by your allies media.

Have the court perform a judicial coup,  which they have done repeatedly in the past - 2014 for sure,  but my favorite was PM Samak who hosted four, yep FOUR televised cooking shows! The Horror  . He received 10K baht or so for ingredients and transport. The Evil.

Unfortunately innocent Thais (and Cambodians) were killed & wounded. However they were not, uh,  'important people' anyway so. When you add it up, wasn't it all for the greater good?!  BTW with Anutin being handed the keys, I can have a Dark & Stormy on my balcony, light up a spliff, without worry about medical clearances. It's all good.

Would be nice to see each political party (or candidate)  list - in order - the problems they perceive in Thailand today.

Absolutely not.

The "good people" will simply guide Thailand to stability. Like a wise parent, guiding the unruly child.

🙂.

If Anutin is the PM, will the weed shops be happy? or the customers?

Another step backwards for Thailand, for all you Shinawatra haters you will get what you wished for, probably Anutin so lets see how you like that!!!

Political unrest grips Thailand after the Constitutional Court unexpectedly removed Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra from office on Friday. The court found her guilty of an ethics violation, abruptly ending her leadership after just a year. This marks another setback for the influential Shinawatra family.

Wow never saw this coming.

Daddy must be packing fast.

Anutin... AKA... 'The Weed"...has been playing in all fronts, wearing different hats, from browny nose with the general to the "wanna" be politician Paetongtarn
