First, “No Kings” seems like an attempt for white America to figure out something about itself, namely the relationship between whiteness, white supremacy and democracy. While I’m not convinced white Americans can do that work without Black people, many of us just refuse to make ourselves available to spell out this relationship for the umpteenth time. The people organizing and attending “No Kings” protests want to make these protests about universal democratic values, as if whiteness has not always been the great challenge to those values. Whiteness and its allies created the mess we’re in; so white people need to get serious about their collective behavior and forms of resistance that can truly meet this moment.

It all became clear to me when I saw the recent cover of TIME magazine, and then the pixelated version of Trump's image posted by California Governor Newsom.

Well observed, and the reason is obvious, the very largest part of opposition to Trump are white feminist women. Of all ages, very young, median, and very old. The second largest part are bona fide leftist white men.

 

Finally the third largest group of people who oppose Trump are gays, lesbians and bisexuals and given blacks high testosterone there are far fewer black gays than white gays.

 

So it's no wonder that the King's march was whiter than a bag of flour.

That from a Channel whose base support is predominantly old white people   . Kings March Very White

 

The colored ones were busy robbing the whities homes

while they were away in the no kings marches.

I heard it called "The March of the Q-Tips".  Old burned out hippies and crazy cat ladies coming together.

 

But at least it wasn't violent. Nobody wanted to risk breaking a hip by doing anything stressful.

Hitler and Mussolini were Fascists, Stalin started as a Communist but in fact turned into an Authoritarian. All shared similar traits to what trump has evolved into. Of the 3 only Stalin was considered a leftist

Where was all the "mob violence" at the No Kings Protest? Again you show your ignorance and fall back on inaccurate word salad to try to justify your misinformation. 

I'd like to see an objective report about the assertion though it wouldn't surprise me. I do think the crowds were on the older side. I also think it would be helpful if future pro democracy, pro rule of law, pro constitution, anti one man strong man rule crowds become more diverse. It seems to me that's possible.

People may wonder about the reasons but the first thing that came to my mind is that older white Americans would probably have been better exposed to CIVICS classes in school. I've heard that subject is not common these days. 

With the large Muslim population in the UK, I always wonder why I see so many white lefties attend the pro Palestine marches.....
