Trump Blasts Sadiq Khan as 'Disgusting Mayor' in Fresh Rant

Is there something i am missing ... why is the president of the most powerful country in the world obsessed with a Mayor in London, who doesn't really hold much power. He has no control over immigration, no control over any laws, no control over national budgets - his main task is organising public transport, some planning which can be overrden by government anyways, and organising policing (but has no say in any laws or what the police can do in terms of laws) - basically he is just a leader of a local council. So basically he has very little power at all. In America local governors have much more power.

If Crime is high or low in London, it has really very little do with the mayor, but more the laws the government sets. If immigration is high in London, it has nothing to do with the Mayor - he has no control over borders.

He is more or less a figure head of the city.

Why is Trump so obsessed by him ? Seems so random. Even if he is muslim, what's the issue? Trump has been running around Saudi Arabia mixing with muslims there. The UK muslim population is only 6%.

What's going on here?

It is quite obvious that Trump tolerates Muslims if they are super rich. That is his morally bankrupt yardstick. Real qualities count for nothing with this goon. It is always about the money. He is a racist loser.

Are you implying Muslims do not follow the teachings of the Koran in terms of siding with fellow Muslims ahead of non-Muslims?

Quran 3:28: "Let not believers take disbelievers as allies [awliya] rather than believers. And whoever [of you] does that has nothing with Allah, except when taking precaution against them in prudence."

Quran 49:10: "The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy."

Quran 60:1: "O you who have believed, do not take My enemies and your enemies as allies, extending to them affection while they have disbelieved..."

No, I'm not. No doubt, some Muslims do favour other Muslims as a matter of course.

Although if that's all the Koran has to say on the matter, then it's pretty mild in comparison to the fate of those who reject Christianity.

Luke 19:27
“But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them—bring them here and kill them in front of me.”

The Mayor of London is elected by the registered voters across London using the First-Past-the-Post system, where the candidate with the most votes wins, with elections held every four year. A democratic system in other words.

Of course it is not all the Koran has to say on the matter. As you well know.

Quran 47:4 (Surah Muhammad): "So when you meet those who disbelieve, strike necks until, when you have inflicted slaughter upon them, then secure their bonds, and either favor afterwards or ransom until the war lays down its burdens."

Dear Donald: it is none of your damn business.

Love it.

One of the rare occasions I must agree with Trump.

As for UK - US ties. The UK gov't seems to be living in a dream world. Seems to be a one way street to me.

Actually, I didn't know. You are clearly more of a theologian than me, Jonny.

There's some nasty bits in these religious tomes, isn't there?

There certainly is Raymond.

Some people have even suggested that countries should be careful about what ideologies they import, in order to ensure the continued safety of their own citizens.

Of course, I would never suggest such a thing. Like you, I prefer to play it safe, follow the establishment/mainstream narrative and bow at the altar of Diversity.

Not a rant, a simple statement of fact.

As a Brit living in Thailand what I would like to say about Trump and his comments about other countries leaders would get me banned from this forum, I guess.

Is Trump aware Sadiq Khan does not control the borders of London. He has no control over any fiscal finacial policy of London, other than council taxes (which every city in the world has). He has no control over the laws of London.

He does not control the number of people who immigrate to the UK. That is the responsibility of the Labour government, the home secretary Shabana Mahmood, and ultimate responsibily with prime minster Keir Starmer. It has nothing at all do with Sadiq Khan.

He may not control the borders, but I suspect he has a lot to say about what benefits that London lays out for their guests, leading to the green dot here, strategically concentrating their votes in the seat of power.

I think that horse has bolted, Jonathan, and I disagree; things were so much easier and clearer in the past. A tale from our family history.

My great, great ..... great Pict Granddad was minding his own business passing the time of day praying to Cernunnos, Taranis, Lugus and the others when, one day out of the blue, this Roman fellow turns up and says that Lugus et al don't exist and that Great .... Gramps needs to pray to a God with a son called Jesus, and that in order to talk to this God and his son, I need to go through him - he's going to be based in Canterbury - and his mate in Rome. No thanks, says Great, great, .... Gramps, I'll stick with my Gods if it's all the same to you. Not an option, me old mucker, says the Roman fellow. It's our fellow or you're off to the bonfire.

If that wasn't enough, a few centuries later just when we were getting the hang of things, the King turns round and says that we can't talk to the fellow in Rome anymore and that we now have to go through him in order to talk to God. So he's a different God?, asks (another later) Great, great ..... Gramps. 'No' says the fellow in Canterbury, 'Same God. It's just that we've found out that the fellow in Rome wasn't doing his job properly'. I'll stick with the fellow in Rome, says Great, great .... Grandpa. 'Not an option', says the bloke in Canterbury, 'unless etc, etc.'.

What's a bloke to do, eh? To my mind, we'd have been better off sticking to ourselves and Lugus and the rest. Look at all the problems that we could have avoided (although I've got to admit that the food has improved since the Romans arrived).

"strategically concentrating their votes in the seat of power."    Geeeez.

There are Muslims in London, that is not a shock. That survey was only for respondents who actively practise a religion. I don't know any Londoners who are acting Christians. None of the Londoners I know are not Muslim either.  Not one. Of course I am sure there are a few around, but generally people who are born Muslim tend to stick with their faith, whilst most non Muslim people are either non religious or might make a token church visit once a year or for a wedding.

So a dot in a survey of people who actively practice religion is just a worthless dot.

"strategically concentrating their votes in the seat of power." Seriously, listen to yourself.

Generally, I think extending the drinking hours in Thailand was a good move, but I am starting to realize there are some downsides. 😄

The more Trump says on this subject, the happier I am.

Maybe DT found out Memdani was in touch with Khan, and now he'll pitch that they're forming a jihadi alliance or something.

I haven't counted them.  Why, how many do you know?

Consider I have several close family members living in London (and have done for 30+ years), they have wives, girlfriends, boyfriends, husbands.

I also spent many years living and working in London myself and have tons of friends that I keep in touch with and visit once or twice a year.

Is that ok for you?

Brilliant troll back by Khan that Americans are fleeing Trump to London.

I suspect that’s one of the reasons why we have record numbers of Americans coming here to holiday, coming here to live, coming here to invest, or coming here to study.📚

My sublime point was that how many Londoners you know and what they do is rather insignificant .

Out of 9 million Londoners  , you know perhaps  40 ?

40 people out of 9 million is hardly  comprehensive survey of the groups opinion

Love him or loathe him, President Trump says exactly what he feels and what many other people feel!

And the president is right on the ball!

Look at the facts..total disaster!

Crime
  • Knife crime offenses increased 86% from 2016 to 2024.
  • Violent crime surged 30% during Khan's mayoralty (2016–2025).
  • Pickpocketing and phone snatching jumped 38% in 2024–2025.
  • Tube offenses rose 56% from 2022 to 2023.
  • Theft increased by 33.9% in the first year of Khan's tenure (2016–2017).
  • Metropolitan Police placed into special measures for being "wholly dysfunctional".
  • Stop and search operations collapsed by more than 50% since 2016.
  • London accounts for nearly half of all knife-point robberies in England.
  • Only 2% of burglaries in outer London result in a charge or summons.

Housing
  • London started the fewest affordable homes per capita of any UK region under Khan.
  • More than one-third of London boroughs recorded zero housebuilding starts in Q1 2025.
  • Only 1,100 new homes started in London in Q1 2025, against target of 88,000 per year.
  • Value of residential planning approvals halved from 2015 to 2024.
  • 80% of homes finished in 2024 received planning permission under the pre-Khan London Plan.
  • Affordable housing quotas (up to 50%) make projects financially unviable, stalling development.
  • Median London home price is 11.5 times median salary, with lowest vacancy rate in UK.

Transport and ULEZ
  • ULEZ expansion had no measurable impact on air quality.
  • Congestion levels 45% higher in 2024 than 2019.
  • Average rush-hour commute (10 km) takes 1 hour 28 minutes.
  • Hammersmith Bridge closed to motorists since 2019, later to pedestrians.
  • Fare evasion on TfL increased despite added enforcement officers.

Public Approval
  • 45% of Londoners dissatisfied with Khan's performance.
  • Overall satisfaction with Khan: 27%.
  • Khan admitted incorrect claim that knife crime decreased during his tenure.

Utter nonsense.

Go and live in US cities with school gun shootings, legalised guns if you really think London is dystopia.

London murder rate is even lower than Bangkok, that we hold up as being very safe.

London crime stats have all gone down, except a shop lifting pandemic (which the previous government stop penalising - not Sadiq Khan).

The city is being targetted on social media, clearly. Yet without doubt it is one of the greatest cities in the world.

The purpose of the post is to illustrate how pathetic his efforts to deport have been and how the bluster presented is basically a con.......plus the costs for these low numbers are astronomical.
