The cheek of it! Asian in the buff is a serial pest with his naked ATM escapades

Cha-Am police were called on Monday evening after they received a complaint from a supermarket manageress that a man had used an ATM at a gas station while wearing absolutely nothing. 

 

The incident happened off the southbound lane on Petchkasem Highway near the sleepy seaside resort. 

 

CCTV revealed a 30-40 year old Asian man getting out of a car and going to the ATM.

Shop manageress Miss Daoreuang, 30, said she recognised the man who had done a similar thing at a shop last year.

 

Worryingly, the man seemed to make sure he had an audience before exiting his white Mazda. 

 

Miss Piyamat, the gas station manageress, agreed that this was the same guy who did a similar thing before at a Bang Jak gas station at Khao Yoi in March.

 

Police said he was white so he must be Asian. 

 

They are looking for him as fears grow that people may not be safe in the area.

seen thisb bout a year ago getting a taxi from the airport home. Just returned from overseas to see some weirdo naked without a care in the world just standing in the petrol station drinking an m150 or something. Its illegal to even go outside without underwear on but here we are....

She could tell it was the same guy because one size fits all in her mind, that or his middle name is big.

No, it just means that in Thailand, being "white" is not about race but simply skin color.  So Koreans, Japanese, Chinese, etc., can be considered "white."  It doesn't mean they're farang, it just means their skin color is white.

Why are "people"  so afraid of seeing a naked body ?

if this was a foreigner especially female there would be a nationwide wo-manhunt to find the offender

The Thai law about it being compulsory to wear underwear when outside.

Does it mention specifically where on your body you're supposed to wear it?

Personally, I don't see what all the fuss is about - I see this all the time in Thailand.

As I understand it, the Japanese call themselves "wheat color." I'm very curious how the Chinese refer to their own skin color. I'm pretty certain they don't call themselves "yellow." Many Thais call themselves "black," if they are darker than a Chinese. My first wife and many people from the Northeast are quite dark, having mixed Thai/Cambodian ancestry, and the Cambodians have their origin in Southern India.
