Not wearing a mask is inexcusable. However Biden seems to have forgotten what day of the week it is or his name so there really is no good choice for US president.

I'm not American but watching an interview with Obama the other day, the intelligence gap between him and Trump has never seemed so wide.

 

Of course I don't doubt Trump is a better business man, but politics is slightly different.

'POTUS' began as an abbreviation used by telegraphic code operators in the 1890s. It stands for "President of the United States."

FLOTUS=First Lady of the United States etc...

You guys ever gone on any of the Philippines expat sites....thinking of doing a tour for a month or so when the Covid things dies down,  so joined one last week.

 

Its like 90% arguments about Trump / Biden,

The Philippines is predominantly an American expat hangout in contrast to Thailand that gets more European and UK expats.

 

Trump has been making it far more difficult for Filipinos to get visas to visit the US, so the Filipinos don't want Trump. Anyone but Trump as far as they are concerned. They want a Democrat that lets anyone into the US, doesn't build walls and condones sanctuary cities.

The general theory is that masks help to protect other people from being infected by viral carriers. Pence and Trump are regularly tested. They don't need to wear masks. They are not going to infect anyone, and as long as everyone else is wearing one, what is the problem? All most officials are doing by wearing masks is placating the general public who are currently fixated on them.

 

Pence did apologize for this political blunder and promised to wear masks at other meetings.

Both of them are far more intelligent than your average Joe. Insulting someone's intelligence because you don't agree with them demonstrates a very low level of intelligence. Pence is an exceptionally good public speaker and a very likeable person. VP's have to stay aligned with the president - how else should it work?
