I think your confused they want to track you, not give you free food as a reward for wearing it...lol

There'd be a lot less resistance on TV if they offered free Leo with them..

  • I'm sure the locals are going to super friendly to anyone seen wearing one of these wristbands. They'll be treated like lepers. How long before shops have signs outside "Solly, wristband people cannot

  • They really need someone with an ounce of common sense to stop all of these ridiculous ideas before they make fools of themselves every single day.

I think they have gone beyond that point a week or so ago. I come here for my daily laughter medicine. That's all these ideas are of any use to laugh and shake your head. Its a workout????

So Prayut says any tourist must wear a GPS wrist band, ha, ha ,ha, dream on pal.

Wrong ! only those ones : " That means all foreign tourists allowed in under the special tourist visa must wear GPS wristbands so that their movements can be closely tracked. "

we who are all the time inside Thailand  are the "untagged" free ones ????

So when they get back to their own country after all that sunbathing they're gonna have an stupid white untanned band around their wrists ... that should start an interesting conversation

Do I recall some farang refusing a mask, from the health minister no less! do I recall members of this forum brazenly admitting to signing Mickey Mouse and giving phone number 11111111 at the entrance to stores.

Unfortunately you occasionally reap what other idiots sow

There is so much one can learn from the Thai people regarding how to to live a relatively peaceful existence in Thailand an oversight achieved by many foreigners

Look at the photo of that health minister again holding the pule of free masks that the dirty fangs as he says refused to wear. None of those masks were sealed!he was holding the front and the rear of the masks with both of his hands. So put this mask on, that hes had his greasy mitts all over, that before hand were stored in the boot of somchais car and passed from flunky 1 to flunky 2 to flunky 3 to hiso minister to hand out??! "What you no want to wear?! Dirty farang!!"

Why not go the whole way and tattoo us all........ oh wait, it didn't end too good for the last guy that done that.........

Wristbands, TM30’S, face masks, quarantine 14 days, covid testings, yeah its holiday time ????

If I make my own "GPS" wristband and wear it during thunderstorms, no local will come within 50 metres. How comfortable.

As an expat living here I would not wear one. Never. Jail me. I will put up such a stink online, they would end up attempting to arrest me, like the American who complained about the Koh Chang hotel.

Inane nonsense. An administration run amok.

Uh oh, sounds like Nazi Germany to me.  Just wear the markings people, it is for your own good and so we know your not one of us.  You might as well just put ankle monitors on them or better yet a GPS Chip inserted under the skin.

It is utterly ridiculous, yes even offensive, to compare measures to control the health of the population, to Nazi practices. As somebody whose parents were affected by the practices you are referring to (I am a son of holocaust survivors) I am offended by your words. May I remind you that other countries, including Israel, are following, or trying to follow, this practice, referred to by the Prime Minister.

Wear a wristband that marks you out as a 'biological hazard' as opposed to a welcome visitor.. Great thinking, Generalissimo.

What's hindering someone to throw right away after he got the wristband?

Will there be daily controls?

Same ridiculous idea as with the GPS tracking of foreign SIM cards / phone owners.

Never heard of this brain-fart again

I swear the world is heading towards Aldous Huxley’s “Brave New World” and George Orwell’s “1984”... not 2021.

I wonder if they will go for the slimline version

Fly a kite with a wire and a key at the same time as Benjamin Franklin did to charge the gps signal up.

The guy lives on a planet where the sky is pink.

He actually said:"People who didn't want the country opened were not those suffering in the decimated tourist industry."

A more stupid thing I have not heard in my life!!!

I'm happy to wear a wristband, as long as Thais wear one too. Somehow, I think that's a bridge too far even for this government, much as they would like the concept.

Do you get to keep it as a souvenir?
