Video shows moment when bridge snaps, plunging beauty queens into pond

Organizers said the bridge was strong, but not strong enough when all the contestants were on it at the same time.

 

These posing pageant queens are all wet after getting dunked into a dirty pond

 

New viral video footage captures the dramatic — or hilarious, depending on your perspective — moment a bridge snaps, plunging 30 smiling Miss Thailand contestants into a dirty lagoon.

 

The glammed-up crown chasers were mugging for the cameras Monday morning as part of the second day of the competition in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

 

As part of their promotional duties, the contestants visited a cafe and posed for pictures on a suspension bridge constructed from ropes connected to a steel walkway.

Couldn't figure out who was  prettier, the catfish or the girls!

I’ve always thought the wet t-shirt section should be a part of it. 

Burmese construction will be found at fault as faces  fall off????

Looks like they more snorkel masks more than for the Covid one...

Some other countries would have the lawyers in by now screaming negligence and duty of care wanting huge sums for “damages”.

Miss Thailand photoshoot turns dangerous

A harmless photoshoot in Chiang Mai became treacherous when a rope bridge carrying the 30 Miss Thailand beauties snapped under their weight.

 

The contestants had gathered at Pang Pao Beach Resort to record a video and had gathered on the rope bridge for some photographs.

 

However, the bridge snapped, landing the women in water. Two of them sustained scratches and one suffered a head wound.

 

 

Paramedics who were on standby rushed to treat them immediately.

 

The resort provided a compensation of Bt500,000 and promised not to let such an accident happen.

And no one had noticed the sign saying only safe for 5 people!!!

One of them had a really nasty gash......

You don't have to be very intelligent to cross a small bridge like this with so many people at the same time, it seems to me that it is a question of common sense, it seems not!

The Resort Manager said it is safe I guess. Same like the abbot said the newly opened glass bridge in Chonburi is safe.

The girls destroyed the bridge so they should be paying compensation. ????

My favorite is the one who stayed standing and didn't spill her drink.
