Farang are soft because they have convinced themselves after reading countless other posts of men who have convinced themselves all Thai woman are amazing partners.

Aparantly communicating in part sign language part pidgeon English is the key to happiness.

Well this thread certainly explains your "man in Hanoi" thread and the REAL reason you're miserable.  It's not Thailand that's making you unhappy.  It's being married with kids and not having access to the young hotties.  I get you.  Many men are in your predicament.  They run around chasing tail for years and it was all good.  But after awhile, they get bored with that.  They figure that settling down and having just one will solve the problem...until it doesn't.  The thing is, if you divorce your wife and go back to that life, you may just get bored with it again.  No easy answers. 

The softness is due to social conditioning and is more and more prevalent. 

Human beings are not even monogamous by nature. It's just enforced on them. It's an easy way to control them.

Some of us have self esteem, a sense of responsibility and quite possibly made a sensible decision when we married!

depending on your age and how you look, this should be easy enough to achieve.

I'm 38, tall and slim dude maybe a little better than average looking and I could get 20 years old girls (if I  bothered trying), actually have one living with across the room from me right now. (which is the reason I don't even try)

few years back I went to get a vasectomy for free from the clinic in Bangkok (next to cabbage and condoms restaurant), I already have a son back home who just turned 20 and didn't want to have more responsibilities so.. cut.

 

note that it's not a way to have sex without protection (but it can be if you both get tested, I guess), i still use condoms but the "i was taking the pill" or whatever tricks they use nowadays simply will not work and I can't be convinced either.

 

in the last few years I been asked to make kids no strings attached by like 5 different women, one of them tried to "trick" me into it but I didn't give in and less than a year later she had a baby (either she was already pregnant and looking to pin, or trying to get a baby from ANYONE)

 

anyways, I'm not a guy that goes looking for multiple women, i'm fairly happy with one but relatively picky which is why i don't consider that girl that lives here to be my gf, just a roommate with rare benefits (she has her own room) but it also prevents me from meeting other women cause she is around... so it's a double edged sword.

I'm pretty sure I have three hundred kids who have never met me.  

 

A child is MUCH better without living with their father anyhow.  Nuclear families are soo overrated.  Kids grow up way better if only raised by their mom.

 

Show me the science where a kid is better with a dad and mom.

 

Kids love it when their dad leaves them.  it's a funny conversation piece.

My wife was exactly like that, married her and she went to high school, then she went to university.

I enjoyed both her uniforms, and her bringing her female pals home for study groups.

 

Nothing to stop you having one of those on the side and enjoying family life.

My misses is great, my kids are great, and my 'girlfriend' was really dirty.

Alternatively, some of us (like me) are just too old to move on.
