She was then moved to the quarantine facility in Ratchaburi on March 21.

Last Friday (Mar 26) she was tested again at the quarantine facility and tested positive.

Depends if the first Covid test was done correctly.

If she was admitted to quarantine on March 21 and - as it appears from the above article, not tested until 26/03 then she may well have contracted it in the facility.

so she got it before closure of market on 10.03.

this virus develops in the body for many weeks, unlike flu. That's why quarantine is usually minimum 2 weeks. Some positive after 2 weeks might stay there several weeks more.

It's a little strange, that woman from ratchaburi works in bangkok, that's quite a distance to travel every day, unless she was bringing with her seafood from samut songkram or sakhon

Just taking the virus back and forth in her travels using public transport more than likely.  This is where Thai folks get the pass but foreigners dont.

"A Thai woman has tested positive for COVID-19 despite receiving the vaccine earlier this month. The woman, from Ratchaburi, received the vaccine eight days ago but tested positive for the  virus on Friday."

Once this story hits Facebook the doubt will set in with the uneducated Thais about getting the vaccine. The number of people getting vaccinated in Thailand to date is very low compared to other countries and stories like this won't help...

Nowhere has it been declared widely that it won’t stop you from passing it on.. It is still being studied and actual results out if Israel are encouraging. News about this topic before March is OLD!

Seems that people doesn't have it clear that It takes 14 days for the Vaccine to be effective and your immune sistem to respond to the virus .

If you contract the virus during the 14 days after Vaccine inoculation you will be infected .

So stay safe and use all precautions after Vaccine inoculation for at least 14 days .

( If you get a Vaccine... )

I hardly see why this is a big deal. There would be thousands of people with covid already getting the jab. Unless this person was tested at the same time as getting the jab then the story is just more needless scare mongering from the press

so she recieved 1 dose of a 2 dose vaccination.

and tested positive 3 days after recieivng it.

She obviously had the virus before she got the first does.

And how is this scare mongering BS news

Also I think it takes longer than that to be effective.

Vaccines made from deactivated viruses can cause a false positive after administered.  I believe the Sino vaccine is one of those.

Are foreigners still not allowed to travel domestically?
