Monk trapped in flooded cave in Thailand’s Phitsanulok province

A forest monk, who took refuge inside a cave in Noen Maprang district of Thailand’s northern province of Phitsanulok during a pilgrimage, has become trapped by flood waters.

 

Rescue workers were rushed to Phra Sai Ngarm cave this afternoon (Tuesday), after they received a distress call reporting that the monk had become trapped following heavy rain.

All joking aside, I was trapped for 26 hours in a flooded cave in NZ with 3 others.

We had some food & plenty of carbide so we stayed comfortable & dry  if not a bit cold

Water all around to drink, but frighened would be an understatement

According to the BBC the Monk goes to this cave every year to meditate. He did not 'Take Refuge' and he was trapped by rising waters due to an unseasonal rainstorm
