Out of the frying pan into the fire.

I think they need a cast iron skillet for this one.  Wonder how long until the Governor is put on the hot seat by the CCSA.  Or maybe TAT is really pushing hard for the kitty litter bubble box model.

They have connections but none that mean anything to the man on the street.

Does it only mean if you can’t prove vaccinated or negative test you have to do 14 days quarantine? (Replacing the rapid antigen test only with 14 days quarantine?) or is it 14 days quarantine for everyone regardless?

All this irrational talk and these sandbox ideas because they were to dependent on tourism.  What about truck drivers? If they scrap the sandbox idea that means they won't get vaccinated first.   I hope they keep after this sandbox experiment so we can see how they will need to force the vax to get over 50%

Everyday it is a completely different approach.Surely the governments first priority is to ensure that everyone in Thailand is vaccinated so as to protect who is here. Then open the boarders to visitors who have also been vaccinated and provide a negative Covid test before leaving their home country. It’s not rocket science.Meaningful international tourism is still 12 months away IMHO.

You're asking a bit much there LiK because most of them have bought their posts one way or another, so brainpower/intelligence/commonsense were not on the list of required skills or thinking capacity.

If brains were dynamite, and theirs went off, the explosion wouldn't be big enough to lift their respective hats! Just a shambles..........and some!

If we put aside the "thainess" (flip flopping, face saving, virtue signaling)... let's not forget that this behavior is dictated by the "Zero Covid" cult.

A cult very active in New Zeland and Australia for instance.

One perfect example  :

https://www.smh.com.au/world/oceania/nz-suspends-quarantine-free-travel-to-and-from-sydney-20210506-p57pks.html

... for 2 "cases" found in Sydney... !

If Thailand and other countries continue with such "Zero Covid" obsession... then the stop-and-go could go on forever.

They really need to clarify what Quarantine is. Is it home quarantine or is it in a state quarantine? If we get the certificate in Bangkok do we still have to do quarantine?
