Lipton tea bags here are awful yet always the item on sale.

I shop all the local place like Foodland, Friendship etc.

Twinnings is too overpriced.

 

Any suggestions on good available tea?

 

I drink PG Tips back home....

Helendiv English Breakfast Tea, 190bht for 100 bags.

I use every bag 3x.

Since tesco stopped stocking thier own brand tea bags, I've resorted to buying typhoon from lazada....

They're probably my least favourite, but out of Yorkshire, pg tips and tetley,

(all available) they were  the cheapest option.

Im thinking about stocking up on the tetley next time I order.

Dilmah are an improvement on Lipton's, mind you, so are dust sweepings off the floor.

Why not drink PG Tips here?  I do.

Not sure how much they cost in Thailand, but they do taste better, that is Lipton

 

back in Europe, they taste like <deleted>, so I always buy a box in TESCO and bring them back

I'm gonna try the Typhoo 80 bags for 135bht.

That's about the same price as the Tesco Original I was buying before they stopped stocking it.

PG TIPS & Tetley and  Yorkshire Tea available from expat food stores.

Lazada is where I buy my tea from these days.

It is worth mentioning that some of the sellers on Lazada regularly sell out of tea bags so OP, if you are a prolific tea drinker then it maybe prudent to buy a few boxes rather than just one. 

The expat stores in Pattaya have a good choice and at least one delivers. I'd never touch Lipton or any of the other available ones again. Siamsburis for example

Typhoo. Better than Liptons and not expensive.

PG Tips. Normally 199 baht for 40 from Villa, but a friend found them for me for 95 baht, which is very reasonable considering they are 62 baht (£1.40) in the UK.

That’s a good price for the Typhoo One Cup from Lazada.

I bought the Typhoo One Cup Special Blend ( Red Box ) for 145 baht in January.

A quick look at Lazada and saw some chancer trying to sell the same for 290 baht. !!

I only saw in Friendship at much more than that.

Will look in Villa.

I had the same problem ,I found Barry's Irish tea  very good strong tea ,not that expensive ,and in this day and age a very quick postal service

Tesco sold out to a Thai company so you won't always get the real deal stuff here.

 

Lot's of "Tesco own" products now not available but for now at least the major stores have not descended to the level of the regional Tescos.

 

A bit like when Carrefour was taken over, there's still some Farang goods at the Big C Extra that makes it shoppable for Farangs.

40 some years back, I used green tea with Jasmine flowers in it.  Back then we had to boil drinking water and it was common to add just a wee bit of tea for color and flavor. 

Place on the soi that runs parallel to Bong Koch 8, Nadia's Expat Essentials... got Typhoo the last time but one, but more recently struck lucky with some Taylor's Yorkshire Tea.

Red box were 100 baht for 100 bags in Siamburi's but have recently been replaced by the blue box which is now selling for 85 baht per 100.

Matcha Green Tea does a body good...

Since Tesco Lotus have stopped selling their own brand teas, I have been buying all my tea from Marks & Spencer. They have an extensive choice with a range of prices; all very good quality. Most Central Department stores have a branch of Marks & Spencer.

Roiboos is the best tea you can buy in Thailand, available at Tops. Of course at 250 Baht not a steal, but at least it's drinkable.

Siamburi's in Pattaya, and if you're not in Pattaya like me, the ship nationwide. Good range of tea at good prices.

Price is important though, I don't want to pay more than 2bht/bag.

And it needs to be strong enough to use every bag three times.

Liptons isn't even strong enough for one cup, no matter how long you leave the bag.

I just never think of going in there, I presume there is still one in Central Festival BR Mall? Went in once and the prices put my tail between my legs.
